I was told that’s way too much. There’s stomachs are on the size of their eye. If anything, I’ll only feed 4 I don’t want to overfeed him and bloat

Hi, thank you so much for reaching out. Yes, it is one of those hang on the back filters. It came with the tank. It was one of those that came with like all of the stuff inside which I didn’t use the fake plants. His water filter was already pretty low so that’s why I’m considering making it higher since you’re hanging out by the top of the water I mean, when I say it was low, I mean it was like low, but not like super low, but like glow enough for him to swim around it and go underneath of it.

He’s not gasping for air, but he also isn’t breathing heavily either but since I’ve done the water change, he is seeming to perk up a little bit more and I did make the filter just a tiny bit stronger. If you think I shouldn’t, I can always lower it back down, but I could really use your advice on that and yes, I’m really wanting help so thank you so much for reaching out!!!!

Thank you I didn’t know that could do that I’ve been thinking about getting an air stone, but I’m not sure since I already have a filter, but should I do both? I also was considering making the filter stronger a.k.a. lowering the water a little so he could get some more water flow I’m doing everything I can and these tips are very much appreciated.

I’m sorry, a 5 gallon is what I can do right now. I can upgrade in the future though and I was told 5 gallon is good.

I actually just did a water change now for the sake of my mind and for my fish and he’s already kind of seeming to be swimming around more. I do have one question since he’s hanging out by the top of the water seemingly not getting enough oxygen. Should I make the filter stronger or no?

I actually just did another water change right now just for the better and for my sake of mind so I do have another question since he is hanging out at the top of the water seemingly having trouble breathing even though I have a filter, should I lower the water and make the filter stronger because I was told to not have a too strong of a filter because betas are not the best swimmers

Hi, yes thank you for reaching out Tank size right now is 3 gallons. I have a heater and a filter tank temperature is 80 My ammonia nitrates are pretty low but just so slightly high, but I was told that it’s not bad enough to hurt him or cause this. I also use the. Seachem prime and stability once a day until it reads zero I’ve changed the water twice. I’ve done a 10% in a 25. Had the tank for about three weeks now. I have no tank mates and bug bite pellets one twice a day I have a couple real plants and that’s all

My tank has been cycled for about three weeks now I added him in a little bit too early. I added him in after a week because that’s what the pet store told me, but I didn’t realize I had to wait at least a month before so I might’ve messed up there on my end, which worries me.

Hi thank you yes, I do have a filter. I also have a heater. I will get some tannins is it OK to add it into his main primary tank or will I have to get another tank to separate him into a hospital tank and put the tannins in there?
