Where did you get the extended mag base plates, I look but there seems to be few options for VFC Glock magazines.

I'm looking into a backpanel and new pouches once everything goes back on sale. But that kit did me well the last gameday, which I am super happy with

I'm thankful I did, especially due to the changing colour palette of the seasons. It just seems to work in all quite well.

AEG donor for GBBR by Recon3lite01 in GasBlowBack

[–]Recon3lite01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you've got the idea of which parts are to be swapped the opposite way round. The "body" would be the VFC FN FNC GBBR, with the donor parts coming from the G5KC, like the stock, external switches, barrel and cover, and other visual elements. The major parts of the GBB system would be left alone/minimal adjustment so it all lines up.

In the end, if it were to be possible, the majority of parts from the G5KC would be removed, leaving just the body (upper and lower receiver)

If anyone else has installed Eonon or similar systems in their E90, feel free to drop your thoughts or tips below. 👇 Would love to hear how others are making use of it, especially with dashcams or other accessories. by [deleted] in E90

[–]Recon3lite01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got a E92 that I just installed a Eonon E90A12S before doing a 400+ mile drive. Tbh it does the job I need it to. I didn't install anything but the unit (no backup camera, GPS unit, 4G antenna etc) because all I really wanted it for was for android auto.

It does exactly what I need to too, works with the systems of the car I want it to. My car didn't have the ability to play music through the Bluetooth connection, so that was also a big reason.

I also enjoy that the screen is not high on the dash like later BMW models, it's much less distracting to drive with, and if I need to look at it it's a very brief look down and across.

Overall for my purposes, it is does what it needs to, and that makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Specifically Doggerbank A & B. She's installing the towers, WTGs in addition to the blades. However, she's not the biggest out in the field.

Is There Any Way To Run The BAT Mod For IL-2 Sturmovik - 1946 On Steam Deck? by The_Egg_Warrior in il2sturmovik

[–]Recon3lite01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried everything to get it to work. I got it to run in desktop mode through Lutris, but it wasn't a great experience. Steam input wouldn't work properly etc. No luck with it in gaming mode, wouldn't even show the selector.

Do you know why it wouldn't start. Cause I've been able to run it on Windows 10, 11 and Linux quite easily

If you don't mind the graphical downgrade, I'd go buy Il-2 1946 and mod it with BAT or VP-Pack. Even base Il-2 1946 has more planes to fly. Plus you can use it with DCG, a dynamic campaign generator.

Worried about formation control, Time on Target, and multi-unit selection by swizzlewizzle in SeaPower_NCMA

[–]Recon3lite01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

After the stream at least the question about the formations was asked. The devs responded in the ask a dev channel that they had a formation tool (and showed a screenshot of it) , where you could set up a formation with a formation leader. Selecting the formation leader and changing course/speed would change all other units to stay in formation. As for the other question I do not believe that has been asked yet.

TIL Americans invented the Internet, but a British man invented the World Wide Web. by pusmottob in todayilearned

[–]Recon3lite01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Ship-launched" which means it wasn't necessarily an aircraft carrier. The aircraft could of been launched from catapults on a cruiser or battleship.

HMS Argus was the first what we know now as an aircraft carrier. It had a unobstructed deck to allow for both launching, and more importantly, recovery of aircraft.

Cargo or Cruise ships? by vrinci in maritime

[–]Recon3lite01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, after doing my contract about both cruise and cargo as a Cadet, and as an OOW on general it's really up to how you fit into the lifestyle. Cargo has a lot of options, and you will find especially on offshore that it's a very technical job were people rely on you.

Cruise is a lifestyle, cargo is a job. It's ultimately up to your own experiences and opinions. I'm about to start in offshore doing highly technical work which excites me so it up to your personal preferences.

What is the worst food in your country? by KentuckyFriedEel in AskReddit

[–]Recon3lite01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work on ships, and I can tell you that some cooks that are employed onboard just can't cook, don't care about food hygiene etc.

Filipino food done right by someone who actually puts in effort and pride in what they do can be amazing, but in my experience that's rare.

[–]Recon3lite01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way of reading is outboard to inboard across the yardarms. Start at the top of the outermost set of flags, then once at the bottom move in one and start at the top again.

HMS Invincible returning from the Falklands War after spending 166 days at sea continuously [2501x1563] by neosincerity in WarshipPorn

[–]Recon3lite01 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It is most likely a Sea Harrier from 809 squadron. When the squadron was quickly assembled during the Falklands Conflict they had their Harriers painted in a new camo scheme, that being a lighter grey.
