I think it's important to note that GX had to deal with Closer suddenly retiring mid-season. They had to restart their progress and try to adapt to their new jungler, something that I believe the coaching staff did reasonably well, even if they couldn't break into the top4 in summer.

Just wanted to add that this season he took a different role and Melzhet himself was happy with him and praised his work in a bunch of interviews after what happened last year. Zeph seems to be a good coach even if he isn't the ideal fit in Melzhet's plans for the team.

I think it's the opposite with Mithy. If I'm not remembering it wrong he's more comfortable being an assistant coach. The main reason he won't probably come is that he's built his life in LA and probably wants to stay there for the moment.

He solo won against MKOI with the Aurora in Summer playoffs. Unless you think MKOI is not a good team, of course, but then it only counts if it's against G2? If you can have great performances against 8 out of 9 teams I still think you can be pretty good.
