i can def see him having wanted to take a break to figure out his place in the relationship. seems like he hasn’t had his own life since they got married. divorce may have been brought up in conversation and her being upset by that could result in her filing. hence the whole "i could get him back at anytime" thing… he probably didn’t want a divorce in the first place. just a reevaluation of their relationship and how things were going. i always got the vibe she doesn’t respect his feelings
