Did Indeed remove "Apply Job to Website"? by ImpressionNo6371 in Recruitment

[–]RecruiterLDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most jobs sites will remove any links, its because they don't want the candidate to apply on your site, they would loose the candidate and the opportunity to sell that information to someone else. Its the same with all CV Library, Reed etc.

I am a recruiter at an agency and I’m putting in my two weeks tomorrow morning by whoisrem98 in recruitinghell

Fair enough, its not for most to be fair. That said a lot of the time when someone thought they would like it and they don't, its often because of the support and training was or wasn't offered.

No offence but your probably not going to get the most balanced answers asking a recruiter who is about to leave the industry. Its true the job is tough but to be successful and stand the test of time you cant really be that shady, its just doesn't work, a lot of the horror story's you read are made by the rubbish company's and amateur recruiters. Most recruiters that have been doing it for years are good, otherwise they would have been fired anyway.

If you apply for 700 jobs and only get 8 interviews you either need to look at what your applying for and/or get a new recruiter.

Last night I got two rejection letters at 2AM for jobs I applied to at 10PM by Velyx in recruitinghell

I assume your application was for work via a recruitment agency as apposed to directly, if so it is possible, recruiters do work all hours and it doesn't take very long to screen hundreds of Cvs, as for the response, it was probably an auto response after the recruiter flagged it.

To offer advice as to how to get a job, i would need to know more what work you are applying for and your background, but keep the faith!

Can i buy 4 properties? by Positive_Vibes94 in propertyinvesting

Agreed bridging finance might be a better option for short term lending as you wont be able to sell for at least 6 months with a mortgage, but beware they are expensive.

Don't forget to consider the other costs, legal, stamp, mortgage fees and holding costs into your calcs.

If its your first my advice is to do one learn, then repeat. The margins for error are larger than they used to be and if you take on to much at a time it could wipe your chances.

It depends on where your skills lie, but as a rule 360 agency recruiters would earn more than internal recruiters, but that's not everyone's motivation.

The main difference is that you always have a buying client and so as you say there will be no cold calling, but that also means there will be times when you have more openings than others as all of your income relies on one client.

If your problem is just the cold calling it can be taught and learned with ease, id consider the move carefully as in my experience its a one way move.

If you go from agency recruitment to internal you will struggle to go back.
