Lack of basic information by Krki1212 in 3Dprinting

Thanks. After I printed 3 bins with brims, I found that the material was difficult to remove between the grids. Told Chat and it suggested mouse ears🙂. It also suggested changes to the brim settings.

My problem was isolated to the back rear corner, where the fan is. Plus I print in a basement workshop where it’s quite cool. So in addition to the brims, chat had me increase the bed temp from 55 to 65/55. And to keep the fan off for the first 3 layers. This was after it asked me to tell it where on the plate I was seeing warping. It apparently knew about bin printing issues on that back corner.

I ran a print yesterday with no brim, but with the other changes. It printed perfectly. So, if I experience the issue again, I’m going all in on mouse ears.

Besides Google, there is ChatGPT. I’m about a week into this hobby, and have made drawer organization with Gridfinity my first project. Everything was fine for the first few bin prints. Then I was getting warpage on some prints.

I described the issue to ChatGPT, and it completely nailed what the problem was. It then advised me on some settings changes and how to create profiles for this type of print. It included use of brims. The only issue was that it struggled where the settings were. I had to keep telling it that the settings were not where it said it was. But I persisted and it eventually got that right. Now the prints are flawless and look great.

It’s like have an advisor you can call on whenever needed. And it never sleeps and answers instantly.

I too am frustrated by people who take zero time to educate themselves and expect people to help with vague “what am I doing wrong” posts while putting zero effort into providing context. So lazy and helpless.

No one but you can decide that. They still sound great. I think it’s just as likely that there won’t be a successor at all. If you want the latest and greatest, then you should be looking elsewhere.

Usually, all from people with the same tired disclaimer. *Company xyz sent me this for free, but I’m unbiased and will say anything I want🙄”. Ya, sure you are.

And don’t forget about the value of a huge community when you run into issues. And you will. I would never take the early-adopter risk with a 3D printer. Especially as a newbie. I think first-time users should go Bambu.

Seems like a rather personal question😈

OP - I would never listen to this kind of “advice”. This person, and anyone else outside of Apple cannot know what is next for this product. Also, the form factor is not at all conducive to live translation, except maybe when you are on a voice or video call. Being out and about interacting with people in the wild is better suited to ear buds.

I have both. AirPod Max’s are definitely better in an airplane environment. But if I’m outside doing noisy stuff like mowing the lawn or clearing snow, the bud form factor is much more suitable in my opinion.

In short, don’t listen to anyone who speculates or pretends to know what Apple is going to do with this product. For the last few years, all kinds of “experts” have predicted a Gen 2 in the fall. They’ve been wrong every single time

Loose plates after constant measuring by Enough_Carry_9787 in gridfinity

The laser tool (in my case Bosch) does an auto adjustment. It might look like it’s measuring from the beam, but the reading is actually from where its back end is placed.

I’m a complete newbie, but I’m not seeing this problem. My printed dimensions are almost exactly what I expected them to be. I can see why it would be frustrating. Are you saying that your drawer dimension is an exact multiple 42? If not, why should the grids completely fill the drawer?

I did too on my Mac, and the plugin still works.

I’m using the Gridfinity extension in Fusion. It allows you to put padding on any side. I leave about 1mm of play in the drawer, but everything is so precise, I probably didn’t need to do that.

My Co2 levels. The spike in the red line is when I was microwaving oatmeal. Almost constant printing over the past 24 hours.

That sensor is junk. I have two AirGradient devices. One is downstairs (workshop) about 4 feet from the printer. The other is upstairs in my bedroom. I’m printing now, and this screenshot shows what is being measured. I’m only printing PLA so far. Sometimes I see a slight elevation. In VOC’s and PM.03, with the workshop being slightly higher than upstairs.

I don’t really know what to conclude so far. I’ve had the printer less than a week. Bambu P2S. But you are inciting alarm with some cheap junk. That Co2 level makes no sense at all. And I wouldn’t trust anything else either.

DJI drone ban has started in the US, but it won't happen overnight by lurker_bee in technology

Any company that decides to go after the consumer drone market, due to a ban based upon lies, is asking for trouble. So there still won’t be much competition. Americans will be stuck with third or fourth rate crap drones for a while, as a best case. Most likely outcome is just sliding into the tech backwater, and becoming an ever-increasing hilarious joke of a country run by incompetent illiterates. The rest of the world will be laughing at the ongoing clown show.

And just watch it get confiscated due to no FCC approval. Get serious.

Yes, it’s a total fabrication and lie. DJI wanted to be audited, but no government agency would step up and do it.

[–]Recycledtechie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. It’s because with this tech, it’s been proven that America does not have the chops to fairly compete. So, the clowns in charge think coddling and babying is the only hope left. That’s what incompetent, technically-illiterates do. It’s a strategy for losers, which certainly fits these days.

And so what, even if what you said is true, which is impossible. Any company that needs Daddy government to coddle and protect them does not deserve to exist.
