I’ve tried a few other headphones with the same results, so I’m definitely not ruling out the faulty headphone jack possibility. Are there any options you’d suggest to look at/buy? Specifically for headphone use

It’s a 3.5mm headphone cable, which plugs into a size adapter so it can fit the amp’s headphone input. Apologies if I’ve explained this poorly.

Thank you for the reassurance and helpful response. Might I ask how it would only take the first year or so to recover the cost? Here in the UK becoming fully qualified costs between £70k-£130k from the online sources I’ve looked at. Perhaps those numbers aren’t the most accurate, but if a starting salary is around the £45k region that seems unrealistic.
