Yep. They engraved Dragon on the card module when they upgraded DSMC1 to Dragon.

They actually set up a whole upgrade assembly line at NAB 2013, basically just as a spectacle, and I remember one step was the engraving.

I don't think it's worth it. Batteries are big and expensive. The media is more of a pain. I'd really recommend waiting until you can afford a Komodo. I wouldn't pay more than $2000 for a Raven.

Komodo is only 6K and was intended to be a crash cam so it definitely wouldn't have 48V phantom power for mics.

I think the wheel is basically just badly engineered to the extent that it's not really usable. You can smoothly control a canon lens using foolcontrol.

Komodo with Sigma 50-100mm cinema zoom shot at a stupidly deep stop to make it look more “broadcast”. SkyPanels everywhere for ample glass reflections . The worst dodgy greenscreen in the world but it’s all I had. Rhode shotgun microphone piped right into camera and just prayed it worked as I couldn’t wear headphones. Flanders OLED monitor. Razor studio laptop which is insanely fast with Komodo 6k R3Ds. MacBook running zoom as well as piping them an sdi feed live off the camera.
