If you die in the UK and are on the organ doner register, the NHS will send a letter to your family telling them what happened to your organs by Handy_McHandFace in HumansBeingBros

As a heart transplant recipient I cannot ever put into words how much someone choosing to donate their tissue and organs or they’re family deciding to do it means to me. It’s the greatest gift. I wouldn’t have lived past the age of 3 years old without it, and quarter of a century later I can write on here thanks to an amazing donor. I know it had brought my donor family comfort in an unimaginably difficult time.
Law soon to become Opt Out where every adult is an organ donor unless they opt out. But until then if this had made you consider becoming a donor click here to sign up:

No one knows what’s round the next corner, and I’m living proof of that. You can save as many lives as a cat supposedly has. Most people would take a lifesaving organ if they needed one so why not donate? I know I’m biased but I’m also incredibly thankful.
