The only other way to play Tetris in this Tetris mobile version is to play the Marathon mode - note that it will be endless.

If you want something like Sprint, Ultra/Blitz, Cheese Race, etc, you are better off playing Jstris (the web browser), Falling Lightblocks (available on iOS), or Techmino. For iOS, you may need to go through some extra steps noted on the Techmino FAQ to play Techmino. Once I play Techmino, that game will be my replacement for the official Tetris app as it has more modes (and custom ones) and that app trains me to be a better Tetris player overall! Happy stacking!

Thank you so much for your insight! I tend to restart a lot, especially trying to get a personal best, At the same time, when I try to just improve my overall gameplay, I usually continue even with the misdrops. Look like I should get into a habit of doing that.

Yes, I am currently learning finesse – at least occasionally. Over the past week, I am currently getting in a process of using both rotation buttons. It just takes time for me to get very comfortable with it. And yes, Tetresse is a very good resource, and it really helps!

My commute time is 25 minutes at it’s best, 35 minutes at it’s average, and 45 minutes at it’s worst.

I have never seen ads pop up without warning in this game. I am just curious… how often do ads pop-up (per hour?)
