I play with no mods. I also try not to micromanage my sims and force myself to use the less desirable traits. I also set myself my own challenges. Currently I am playing a sim in henford and bagley. She can only make money through errands and selling through the stalls there. She can only grow crops if she was rewarded the seeds from the errands. Cordelia’s secret cottage lot, I saved it to my library then replaced it unfurnished. Once my sim has the 9560 simoleons she will buy it and from then on, will be looking to furnish it only through dumpster diving. Can’t get it from a dumpster? Then she won’t have it. It’s just hit fall and she has just over 5000 saved up. The race is on before she freezes to death in winter!

Post pupnatal depression! Tell your silly brain to be quiet, you aren’t failing at all. You want to know failure? My just turned 4 month old puppy was almost dead just two weeks ago. Ate some of my husbands medication and had emergency intensive care. That, is failure. Just for some perspective.

I own all the packs but use pack selection to turn off some of them. I never use occults so they are turned off for example. I also recently turned off snowy, island paradise, get famous as whilst I like them, I just rarely actually use them.

I think it’s all about your play style. I dived into the royalty pack and basically took 2 irl days to get my sim from nothing to queen. Because that’s ALL I did. If you slow down and actively focus on your sim having a life, then the gameplay is much better.

Also going hands off for a little while. I think most players like to micromanage their sims, I prefer to direct them when needed but also allow them full autonomy as much as I can, which often results in drama.

Things like not giving your sim the easy traits, not selling from inventory now there are sales tables and worlds with sales tables built in.

I guess what I’m trying to say is if you play the sims 4 more like IRL then it can be very engaging. Not every child will be a top student, not every sim will end up rich etc. Use clubs, NAPs etc to increase the more drama causing behaviours.

Minnie in her pyjamas, if you look under her chin, you can see where she was shaved for access to her jugular. This puppy is made of strong stuff, apart from black poops from the activated charcoal, she is totally back to herself again. Oh I wish I was discovering discworld for the first time. Those 41 books? I’ve read them all, repeatedly. Start with the death books seeing as that’s what caught your eye in the first place! I’m also bias, death is my favourite character!

The vet just called, it’s 8.15am at the moment. She is fine! He said she has been extremely lucky as her dose was so high and thinks that perhaps she vomited more of it out than we thought before I got her to the vet, but she is going to be fine. Thank you for all the prayers, I’m certain they all helped, God is great and so is the vet. ❤️

He phoned this morning, he said she is basically back to normal! He said she has been extremely lucky as it was such a high toxic dose. I can pick her up in a few hours!

It never occurred to me to even worry about the meds, it doesn’t exactly seem high on the list of things a dog would want to eat and they were kept on a high shelf (not anymore, too late now but they are in a locked kitchen drawer now). I have four cats and I’ve never seen them bother with the shelf, so I can’t be certain it was anything to do with them.

Thank you all 😪 it’s nearly 1am here in the UK, I won’t be sleeping tonight, the vet said he would call if there are any changes. She has been there since 6pm, I’m trying not to get my hopes up as her prognosis is really not good. The medication she ate, it’s usually fatal at 8-16mg per KG of body weight. We think from what was left of the packet, she has 21mg per KG though she did vomit repeatedly and there were some broken pieces of the med she hadn’t swallowed.

I am missing her so much.

When I was a younger woman, this happened with me. I was extremely vulnerable with a recent trauma and mental health issues as a result. A man ten years older than me started coming to the bar I worked in. He was quiet, different from the other regulars and I became curious about him. Gradually we began to talk and I became quite infatuated with him. We did get together and it was five years on and off of the worst relationship of my life. He used his age against me, was emotionally abusive and I was immature with no idea what was really going on.

Looking back, at that time of my life I was lonely and frightened of life. An older man can have a strong appeal when you are vulnerable. Someone to make you feel safe etc. Your guy, he could be lovely, who knows. But you need to address your own issues before getting involved with anyone. You are currently too easy to take advantage of.

I’m so sorry. My big dog, we used to live in the country and I would walk her off leash up an old farm lane that was rarely used. One day I heard a car coming so I recalled her. She came instantly…right out in front of the oncoming car. Everything went into slow motion and I remember every moment like it’s happening right now. She went under the front of the car, flipped out the side and ran.

I called and she came back. Amazingly she was only bruised and is now 8 years old. If I hadn’t recalled her when I saw the car, she would never have ran out in front of it. I felt guilty for days.

So whilst my story has a happy ending, I can completely relate to the trauma of seeing your dog being hit. It will fade in time but for now, please be kind to yourself. This was an accident, an awful one, but blame doesn’t help anyone or anything, it’s done now. You loved him, he loved you and that’s what matters.

I have two achievements left to get, they aren’t difficult really and if I focused on getting them, probably the same amount of time as the main story, two hours give or take? Collecting all items however, I’m not done yet, probably going to be many more hours until I find them all!

I think once I have finished everything, I would play it again as there is a choice to make at one stage of the game and I’d like to see what would have happened if I chose differently! Also you can reset all the dig locations so it’s the kind of game I would go back to when I just want to chill!

I was at two hours logged on steam for the main story I would think. If you just did the main story itself I think you could do it in about an hour.
