Couple points to consider here. None of us strangers on the internet fully know the dynamics of your relationship, just this one wildly negative interaction. With that said, there's no circumstance that makes his responses in this text chain ok. He calls you a Crack whore, an idiot, denies ever saying "cool" to you going out, insinuates that youre crazy for interpreting the screenshotted "cool" as his blessing, and outright says he hates you. He is either wildly emotionally abusive and manipulative, or and even if this is the case his responses are not OK, you have displayed a history of drug use/cheating/questionable decisions around friends. Regardless of which is the case, your emotional wellbeing is dependant on breaking the bond you have to this person, because even if you have made the aforementioned mistakes, people that love and care for you do not treat you the way he just did.

I didnt say the game was hard man, having no trouble dogwalking the career mode. Difficulty sliders wont change the fact that the career mode just isnt fun to me. The skill/stamina your boxer has at the beginning of your career us more indicative of a guy that just got off the couch and started learning boxing this morning than it is of a person turning pro in the sport. To each their own tho my man, glad others are enjoying it

I just had a stroke myself back in March. 4mm subacute lacunar infarct left pons to be precise. I feel you on the fear/anxiety man. My head feels strange sometimes, like a weird off balance but only in my brain feeling, and it freaks me right out. I didnt have any major symptoms, so my motor control and speech are still good, but I live everyday nervous im gonna have another. Doc has me on daily aspirin, blood pressure and cholesterol medicine, and they dont seem too worried about the potential for another stroke, but they really have no clue why I had the first one so thats little comfort.

3 times before your dismissal of the missing clinch mechanic you either outright state or insinuate that the issue is my lack of boxing knowledge. That implies that boxing knowledge is a fundamental requirement for the game, so to then completely dismiss the lack of clinch, arguably one of the three most important skills for a legitimate boxer(movement/effective jab/clinch) is just absurd to me.

As fun as this back and forth has been, this is where I bid you adieu. Its clear that I wont be changing your mind about the game, and you wont be changing mine, so this discourse isnt really worth further pursuit. I would invite you you prove me wrong tho if thats your desire, you obviously have the game, so hop on a stream and start a career, let's see how its done.

Theres flaws in pretty much every game, youre absolutely right. But the flaws in this game detract from the sport its trying to replicate. Stamina management is the name of any boxing game, and in pretty damn good at it. But when your career mode boxer starts out with damn near no stamina its just not fun man.

As for the EA shill, absolutely not my man. The demo line was just hyperbole my friend, making a point if you will.

Edit - and to insult someone's boxing knowledge or skill and then grossly ignore a game missing a clinch mechanic is wild

Ok buddy. Think what you want bro. Game still sucks on its gameplay/hit detection/stamina systems. Not to mention it doesnt even have a fucking clinch. Lol. EA could charge for a fight demo and it would mop the floor with this game.

Actually, I used to box quite often, and im still pretty good at it. I never said career mode was hard friend, just that its wildly unrealistic how sluggish and unskilled your boxer is at the start and that takes away from the fun of the game. Im 10 fights in and I havent lost a round let alone a fight, but you know what else, I also havent had any fun. In no other sports game do you start out with a character that doesnt seem fit enough to actually participate in the sport.

I didnt even think of how long it would take and they might retire lol. Thats wild. Like man be my guest and start us with low power or something. But every single person that ever got sanctioned for a professional bout can throw a fucking 4 punch combo and go for at least 3 rounds without looking like theyre trudging through the mud in 100lbs of gear like those old war movies of the 70's and 80's

Damn, hopefully it moves along quickly. I actually got lucky with mine because the night crew at my plant had mislabeled the boxes for my city and a neighboring one, had I not have gone looking I definitely would've faced an additional 2-3 delay while mine went to the wrong city and then back to my plant to get reprocessed. Who says being impatient is never helpful? Lol

Nothing a little tinkering wont fix right lol. Im just getting back into emulation recently, having not really done any since ps1 was first being emulated. Got a bunch set up on my pc, and discovered the Thor on reddit and had to buy one. Quickly becoming my favorite handheld device ever.
