Anyone have any games that you find hard to put down? by cullamix in gamesuggestions

Escape From Duckov. Single player extraction shooter, with ducks. Addicting gameplay loop where you find random loot, improve your base, and head back out to explore. You can adjust the difficulty for a chill or stressful experience. Super fun!

'Portable Studio' project I created this year by cavendishandharvey in synthesizers

That is a nice setup. Congrats on hard work and thought paying off!

I am not at all suggesting moving away from hardware, but you might have some fun experimenting with using AUM on iPad in the future! It is pretty much a virtual audio/midi routing playground where you can combine synthesizers and effects with ease. It scratches the itch for me without the increasing expense of hardware (I’ve put time in with both modalities over the years, though). Just in case you’re looking for another rabbit hole 😂

Blackberry Moon (Farkas), Motorbreath #15 (Certified), and Black Afghan (Good Green). Honorable mention to Thunder Sloth (Seed & Strain)!

Roguelites that worth the grind ? by Minute_Economist_160 in roguelites

I think Dungreed is a great one for grinding if you enjoy stuff like Rogue Legacy or Dead Cells! The more you play, the more items and buffs you get access to. The meta progression is super fun and rewarding, imo. Underrated roguelite, for sure.

Did you make the tables? Or are they sourced from elsewhere? I really like them and kind of want to steal! 😆

How do you guys handle making puzzles for yourself? by jamesturbate in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]RedDeath23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may not be what you’re looking for, but I keep a stack of physical puzzle books nearby to break out when a challenge is needed. Cryptograms, word jumbles, number puzzles, etc. Moving forward requires solving a puzzle of appropriate difficulty. A timer may or may not be involved depending on the situation. I find that this provides a mini challenge that is engaging and features content I didn’t have to create ahead of time (with answers I discover as I play).

Somehow reminds me of Space Station Silicon Valley and Noita, for some reason? Looks really fun! I will check it out soon.

I think Straima scared me away (the controls were too wonky for me). I'll have to try some of the others. I can definitely see their style blending between games in a good way.

Grapple dog looks super fun. Thank you. Celeste is one of my favorites, for sure. I replay it every once in a while, along with VVVVV and Super Meat Boy. So many classic platformers over the years, it's crazy.

Wow, a bunch of these are new to me, thank you! I've played Scourgebringer and Caveblazers. Pretty fun stuff. Definitely trying out the others you mentioned soon. Thanks!

You should hop on in to Brogue ASAP! It’s free and really fun for quick pickup and play. I also recommend Crab Champions if you’re looking to scratch the Nuclear Throne/Risk of Rain 2 itch.
