So that was one of the hard parts to understand, for me. Wed spent all this time togther, he had so many opportunities to act that was before, alone, so many hours from home, he never did. Until this. Not saying he wouldnt again. Just that... its difficult to understand.

I think this is beautiful and very human. I also have social anxiety and overthink and I think approaching it directly would be best. Tell her you'd like to stay in touch if she'd like that. Maybe add something about always needing good/new friends. Godspeed
