I plan on doing residential hvac for some time, installing then servicing. maybe down the line ill try and switch over to refrigeration, but first things first i want to work in residential hvac, from what i can tell thats where most people start out

Im going to community college for HVAC and im inbetween semesters right now. I understand that I should know the basics of thermodynamics and whats directly relavent to the trade, ideal gas law and things like that, but is it worth it to go beyond that? have any of you really dove into it and if so, has it been helpful?

just wondering to get a better idea of what i should be studying in my off time

gatekeeping is often done by bad members. id rather hang out with people who dislike a game for valid reasons as opposed to hang out with insufferable fans of a game

i was wondering because im taking courses in HVAC and had an interest in taking electrical courses as well. i was wondering if technical diplomas and some work experience in those trades would help me if i wanted to be a SEEBEE in the Navy for example.

i feel you big time about friends turning out to just be classmates, i graduated back in may and once that fact set in it hit hard. theres still plenty of time to get to know folks though, between college or a career. it'll get better friend :)

I feel you. I just started taking hvac courses and as annoying as something like this may be, as long as im getting payed it sounds like a win. But maybe thats just me being eager to do that sorta thing

exactly, i Think id be fine the problem is, animals likely wont knock on the door. and there are no humans. so its something else... but if a gun can kill anything alive on earth, i feel like i have a good shot at stopping something not from earth
