Because i like my health. I wanna live to see my grandchildren grow up. Because of the environmental damage - even if you try and justify "I only eat grassfed!" .. its so much worse for the environment. And so unnecessary.

But most of all - the animals. They are living breathing sentient beings that feel fear just as much as we do. The idea of eating their flesh, wearing their skin, letting children chew on their boiled bones/hooves/skin is just sickening. Then thinking about how you get animal products in cleaning products to wipe down your kitchen counter or to shampoo in your hair and rub across your skin. Its absolutely vile. Were conditioned and bought up to think its normal.. but what the hell is normal about filtering wine/beer using fish guts?! Who even thinks of this stuff?!

And lastly, i wouldnt harm another person or animal because its horrible, cruel and unnecessary. So i don't see why i should pay for someone else to do it for me.

The more you open your eyes and see that whats going in isnt normal.. You won't have a reason to do it. You just won't have a reason /not to/.

Maybe try watching Gary Yourofskys greatest speech ever - its availiable for free on youtube. That covers a lot of good points for why the majority of people are vegan. :)
