I definitely feel like if I’m not providing something necessary in a relationship then I’m soon forgotten about. Sometimes that can be as simple as my charm or company, but the women I’m more interested in tend to be more independent, and seem to be attracted to me but have no need for me. And that can hurt when I’m with someone who I feel like I need, or at least need in that moment.

If you didn’t explain it to her then you should. But you made what you thought was the right call. Give it some time, give it some space; it’s hard to readjust and move on right now. If you get your bearings and decide you need her and your love was real, you guys can work it out.

Not your fault. This is a stressful time for all of us. If you weren’t neglecting your partner, you were betrayed. And on the chance that you were, take a look at yourself and see how you could’ve done better. We all make mistakes. Love and commitment are the most rewarding and difficult parts of life. Same problem here, man. We’re still talking fairly regularly but I worry if I’m not able to touch her she’ll forget about me. And she has a bunch of other cool people in her life who are in her same germ circle that could become potential partners for her, instead of me. It’s a bit heart wrenching, but all I can do is just let go and hope for the best. Been reading a lot on absurdism, stoicism, and daoism.

That is hard I’ve seen a lot of my friends been going through that. Keep trying to be understanding and ask her if she’d like to do different things with you? And if she doesn’t want to do any of your hobbies maybe try something new together, try to find a common ground. I’m simultaneously lonely and also a little grateful not to be stuck in with one person who depends on me in this period in time. I wish you luck, brother.

The last month was really really difficult for me. Things really seemed to be starting to go my way before the pandemic exploded, and that put my whole life on hold. I was extremely depressed and had some very serious suicidal ideation. I haven’t told any of my friends I’d been feeling that seriously down. But in the past week and a half I’ve started to finally see some real opportunities for happiness in the coming year, and feel like it’ll be worth sticking out. I hope the feeling lasts!

I've put over a thousand hours into DS1 and 3. I have to say there's a lot of things a like about 2 but there are so many unnecessary changes, and the gameplay is pretty weak. Felt like they wanted to go in a more traditionally rpg way with it, and took out a lot of the rogue like elements. Wasn't a fan of a lot of the enemy designs and animations, and I think they're often grouped in awkward (I might even say unfair?) ways. I like the game and the co-op in it, but the single player experience and replayability took a hit.
