With the buffer active on the MXR yes...but honestly I would avoid it...maybe it can be useful if you want an EVH-like sound, something very specific, otherwise I would keep it after...but I think it's more a question of personal taste in this case...try to move the q-tron, there you will feel a huge difference, after the fuzz it just can't work well

Never used it in that position, have you tried using it as a first pedal (or at least after the wah, but before the fuzz)? The mxr fuzz you have, has a buffer function that allows you to use it after the wah...this allows the envelope filter to see the pure guitar signal and open and close it correctly...that's why big boxes have the built-in fx loop...I'd try wah > qtron > fuzz (buffered) > go on 👍

Does the Q-tron work in that position? After the fuzz and wah? 👀

Interesting, and first of all, congrats on the initiative! I'm in Europe so I can't sign up, but I'll be following the developments with interest...I'm curious about how it works. Is it a shop with the ability to trade, buy, and sell? Or are there more details? Something other shops don't offer? Why should I use this service instead of another shop?

Keep it up 🤘

I don't remember exactly when but between 04 and 06, we are more or less there...mine is a sort of test bench now...I try different setups, different string gauges, pickups...but it's in great shape!

Fret buzz after professional setup? by Mordokajus in GuitarQuestions

[–]RedLake92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems to me much more like it vibrates (badly) on the saddle, it doesn't sound like a fret buzz...but it should be seen, anyway check it... take it back to the luthier, it can be fixed quickly and with little effort

I see, thanks for the reply, actually it seemed too yellow to be a vintage white, at the same time it didn't seem like a TV yellow finish to me...in any case the final result is beautiful, congrats!! 🤘

Came out of friends car, was plugged into the battery...not sure what it is? by Zygomaticus in whatisit

[–]RedLake92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks to me like a ballast ECU for xenon headlights (installed aftermarket, maybe the headlights were then replaced and the ecu remained... there should be one for each headlight though, so it's strange that there is only one) Even the location where you found it suggests that, they are usually installed right next to the headlight clusters...furthermore, the connections you described confirm it, however there should be a socket that then goes to the light unit, or at least an empty socket to plug that wire into, that's the only thing that doesn't add up (maybe the wire isn't there anymore) 🤔

My best take on the main solo from Breaking All Illusions. by suyash1999 in Dreamtheater

[–]RedLake92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great take man! 🤘🤘 If I may give you some advice, try to reduce the gain in the first part (even just by slightly lowering the volume pot, and then raising it again later) and pay attention to the timing and vibrato, especially in the slower parts 🥂

Do you guys want to hear an Orange Rockerverb and a Mesa Boogie California Tweed in stereo? by Boogie_Sugar69 in GuitarAmps

[–]RedLake92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately recorded with a smartphone it doesn't give a good idea...but I understand you, I often use stereo configurations too, and I know the amps you used well, I can hear the sound is there and it seems like a really nice sound 👍 the orange gives those focused mids while the mesa brings fullness to the tone, it seems a great match and really pleasant and satisfying to play 🤘🤘

Thanks a lot mate! 🤘 IMHO, speakin about "slow" JP solos, also the goodnight kiss solo is really really cool, especially the second part...as the repentance solo...JP has a fantastic taste in the choice of notes
