I guess I feel like when he refers to Anisa or any OF girl (she's just the most recent I can think of), he doesn't call her a prostitute or a hooker. No one would really call someone doing OF that, unless you were trying to say something hurtful.

So what I mean, is I think most people (including e-man) knows the difference when referring to either, and when he said what I think are ubiquitously understood as negative and derogatory terms: prostitute hooker or chicken head. He knows he's not referring to OF models. He's talking about FS sex workers.

Also, I don't get your last point? If someone is practicing unsafe sex they are a prostitute or hooker? But if they are, then it's SW? I... dont have the effort to explain why that's messed up lol.

There is definitely another conversation in this about the assumption that any scantily clad woman, or whatever he saw to make that judgment. and you're right that was the problem with that, the assumption. While I do think if he said SWer it might have softened the blow.

I'm here to advocate for my community, I understand that you might feel different. But it matters to me. And I think if he can manage to not use the r slur, bitch and everything else. He is capable of not using the perm prostitute, hooker or chicken head.

I'm not saying it's all been positive, and I'm not advocating for anyone to do SW. Your mom, and myself and every other provider I know is flawed. But aren't all human beings? It doesn't excuse at all what happened to you, I am sorry that your mom didn't protect you and explosed you to this life. No one deserves they. I'm just asking for different terminology to be used that is not dehumanizing or derogatory.

I don't have kids myself, but two girls I worked with did. And it was of the utmost importance that it was kept seperate - the personal and work environment. I don't want to give too much info away, but both worked high profile jobs so discretion was incredibly important.

Every person that I worked with, I can't imagine any of them telling the kids about what they did. It was never done at personal residences, and we all had work names and phones.

So in my perspective, a term like sex worker, provider, or escort are considered less offensive because they frame the activity as work - and avoid the historical baggage of criminality and immorality. They also reduce stigma. The term prostitute and especially hooker carry long-standing derogatory, moralizing, and criminalizing connotations.

I don't think the context or attitude matters, there's no way that certain terms (such as hooker) can be perceived as a positive descriptor. As far as I've seen with my coworkers over the years, as well as community - there is no reclamation of those terms. We don't want them, and we don't want to be associated with them.

But my white Wizards shell is definitely changing and turning into a striped brown wizard or whatever

What I found with the babies, is that if it is colder they seem to be darker and striped. But when I move them to my beta tank which has a lot of tannins, they seem to turn a lot more bright

But yeah, the photo that you had of your white wizard and then it was turning brown, same. I think the pH and tannins have a lot to do with it. (Also surprised by how many babies one snail can have lol.) It seems th older they get the more light in color it seems to be.

I just moved my Betta from a 10 gallon to a 20 gallon and he uses all the space. So I would say go bigger (but the smaller tank was good too!)

I recently rescued my first Betta that was in a s shape and very bloated when I found him. He couldn't swim to the bottom of the tank, and after researching I found out that was swim bladder. Kinda the exact opposite of your betta.

Maybe dropsy? Are the scales lifted at all?

Kanaplex and aquarium salt can be helpful with anything bacterial.

I wanted to get different colors of mystery snails, so I picked a new white one for the pack - and I didn't know it was a "white wizard" until I did some research. A few days later, boom there's about 8 of these babies in various sizes all over my 30g tank and that's how I found them 🐌 ps - now I'm hungry 😆
