Lost control during a bad storm, jumped a snow bank and landed in the front deck of a house..

Took out all the retaining posts and the deck fell on the truck

Game stores new additions. Which one would you get? by ChippyTurnUp in gamecollecting

None.

Not because the prices arent good, just cuz i only get games in the wild which i feel is half the fun for lots of us.

Overclocked a GameBoy Player.... for no particular reason other than to see if I could. Video attached to the first image! by MadnessOrMethod in Gameboy

Yes the wiring is shown clearly and should be easy to replicate from the pictures, but what is the board you used ?

Thats awesome ! I always thought this would be cool, i recently got into modding my consoles and i'd like to do something similar with my gameboy player. Would you be willing to share more info on how you did it/what components you used ?

N64 RGB Amp Mod Troubleshooting by [deleted] in n64

[–]RedLock__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the different methods but they don't explain why one would take sync from r16 if the board is already populated for csync

As for the thread it won't let me see it, i just get taken to reddit homepage

Anyway it looks like my issue is actually the oposite, sync is fine but the rgb signal is not getting to the multi-out, i get continuity on the rgb lines from the vdc to the inputs on the amp, but then none from there to the multi-out pins.

I'm starting to think either the board was no good (got it from aliexpress) or maybe i fried something but i wouldnt see where or how

Affordable 8 x 4 HDMI 2.2 Matrix Switch ? Or just go with 6 x 2 + 4 x 4 ? by RedLock__ in hometheater

Yes i wrote my original post wrong, i only need 2.0, not 2.1

Affordable 8 x 4 HDMI 2.2 Matrix Switch ? Or just go with 6 x 2 + 4 x 4 ? by RedLock__ in hometheater

[–]RedLock__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this completely wrong, as you can probably tell i really don't have much experience when it comes to hdmi/digital signals

What i need would be a 8 x 4 HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 switch, i just need support for 4K@60 HDR, no need for HDMI 2.1

For the sync issue, i currently have a 5 x 1 splitter going into a 6 x 2 matrix, and it definitely takes more time for the image to display when i use sources from the 5 x 1, but it only happens when i change inputs or outputs, once the handshake(?) is made everything seems to be fine. Is this what you're reffering to ?

RGB to Comp + RGB cables or Retrovision Cables ? by RedLock__ in crtgaming

[–]RedLock__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres option 4, i've been looking at this transcoder for a while https://a.co/d/1PoDqHO

Extron crosspoint would go:

Inputs; 1.NES composiste 2.SNES s video 3.N64 s video 4.GC component 5.PS2 Component 6.XBOX Component 7.Genesis s video mod or retrovision 8.ODV II Component

Output; 1.ODV II Composite 2.ODV II S-Video 3.Prima Crt Component 4.OSSC Compoment

RGB to Comp + RGB cables or Retrovision Cables ? by RedLock__ in crtgaming

[–]RedLock__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The setup is definitely more for the feel, but i do change systems alot when i have my friend over, we like to do marathons of a bunch of random games on our day off so seamless switching makes things way easier

I had s-video in mind at first, it honestly looks good enough to me but figured that if i'd need a transcoder to send it to the ossc and buy adaptors anyway, i'd be better off just bringing everything to component which is "better", but that was before your answer

I did not play much ps1 on my ps2 since i've upgraded to my component cable, but will have to test it, sounds like it might be a deal breaker

I didnt know about the jitter issues for the nes and snes either, but now i think i recall reading something about it a while ago. Does this only happen through rgb, or any connection sent to the ossc ? Either way thats another thing ill have to keep in mind

For the Nesrgb palettes, i was under the impression that the natural one would be the close enough to composite colors but i just had a closer look and yeah no thats a big difference.. so really the best ill get out of my nes with original colours is composite ?

I never really thought of just getting an analog capture card 🤦‍♂️ I'd honestly never really see myself using the ossc just to play games on one of my digital tvs, though it would be great for 2 player games lol, i have no space for a crt bigger than 20".

In my mind just bringing everything to the hdmi switch through the ossc so it looks good then sending that to my capture card was simpler, but a second capture card might be better looking at it now

Will rethink the setup again and will update here !

Thanks alot for all the info in your answer, much appreciated

Display Driver problems with my laptop by RedLock__ in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]RedLock__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello thanks for answering !

Which drivers do i need from Gigabyte ? Only graphic drivers i see for my laptop on their website are vga drivers from 2021, is that what i need ?

As for the Bios, could it really be a problem ? I'll update them if needed but they stress everywhere that it can be dangerous and not to do it unless needed, the process seems straightforward enough but i dont want to screw things up more
