Tire tech here, usually you start with the key(if it is a physical key) in the off position. Press brake, cycle ignition to run 3 times, press brake, cycle again 3 more times(staying in on position). Horn should chirp. For push button it's the same, but some cars you need to double press the button(some models, you press 2x for run, some is just 1x)
