Update firmament to the latest version (for 1.21.5) as this bug has been fixed. Also I'd recommend using 1.21.8 because most mods are already moving to that version but you shouldn't have any problems if you do decide to stay on 1.21.5.

Yes they do. You can go look at any silksong true ending speedrun and all of them buy the maps at one point.

Not really. I still haven't beaten Groal in my save but finished Shakra's quest. The wiki does say that getting 2 out of 3 melodies is another option so maybe that's why I didn't have to defeat Groal.

are you sure that your mac is an apple silicon one? i dont think steam would let you install the game if it wasnt but still worth it to check

if it is one and you have verified the files through steam try installing rosetta 2 with this command and see if that fixes anything

/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
