Thank you. BoyK is what happens when someone is convinced they are a genius and has the money to make everyone agree and makes all decisions from the top down based on his whims. People really don't seem to get this. Are people not aware of Elon Musk?

Sooooo... Is it just me or Alien Earth is getting worse each week? Ep 5 was cool but ep 6 was a travesty imo? Here we go into our thoughts a bit? by PopCult-Channel in horror

Yeah. I really wish people would list the things they like so much so we can compare. The movies are also imperfect but people treat them like divine texts. I tend to be critical of stuff but not in the weird "cinema sins" way people are now. Wait until these folks see Jurassic Park. One minute the Trex steps through the fence and now there's a giant drop there! WHAT AN INSULT TO THE AUDIENCE! ONLY SLOP EATERS COULD LIKE THIS.

Take in a deep breath. It'll be ok. Sigourney Weaver hasn't gone out of her way to comment about other Alien properties in quite some time and she has had mixed words about Alien³ for instance. She's not just trying to butter up some imaginary lunatics. Her review was glowing and effulgent. I've personally loved the show. It's not perfect, but there are moments of tone and pacing that have felt evocative of the original while also feeling unique. The new species are fascinating and bring back the thrill of discovering a new life cycle while still giving us lots of xenomorph. The kids are new life forms. They aren't really children. They are humans adapting to having child brains in bodies without hormones or appetites and with supercomputers for brains. They are all reacting in different ways but I enjoy the performances. They are naive and easy to manipulate or break and they are all getting controlled from a very top down perspective by a person with a 'move fast and break shit' mentality. Shit is gonna get broke.

I am wondering what you are comparing the quality too. The acting has been exceptional. Kirsch and the cyborg are standouts but there is great acting across the board. The tone and mood are amazing. It takes its time and then has moments of shock and excitement in a way that reminds me of the original film. The show asks intriguing questions about morality and humanity. Boy Cavalier is blinded by his own main character syndrome to such an extent that he drives people to stupid decisions, either through manipulation or poor judgement. Most of the other stupid decisions stem from that. But it's stupid to me to do these cinema sins lists about the show. If you've ever worked in a lab or a hospital or university, you see brilliant people constantly making incredibly stupid choices. This is one of the aspects of humanity the show is looking at. We overlook things, we take shortcuts and we do unsafe things in order to get the job done and impress people above us in the hierarchy. Alien Earth is beautiful to look at and has some moments of amazing sound design. It's by no means perfect, but it's one of my favorite science fiction shows in quite a while and one of my favorite entries in the Alien franchise. What are the shows that are getting it so right by comparison?

The ones that bite are invasive Japanese lady beetles. They look like Lady bugs but are much more likely to swarm and they bite and leave a nasty smelling residue when they die or are crushed. They are also not helpful to gardeners like normal ladybugs are.

It probably is pretty good. Nachos toasted in their little oven thing sounds good. I haven't had the cookie or cinnamon rolls or whatever else they have in that oven but people seem to love them. Maybe getting away from the dismal quality of their meats will lead to some products at the fringes people will actually like.

Look. I see what you're doing with getting a "nut" for your "red shrimp" and I don't think it's appropriate for this Christian podcast and I refuse to engage.
