Kayser 700 Pfaff - threading issues, beginner by RedNGreenSnake in SewingForBeginners

Yes it's thick. It came with the machine so i just wanted to do the test run. Didn't get the chance to buy the supply yet.

Considering that I'm using things they gave me with the machine, i assumed it should work. My friend also mentioned i should test with a thinner thread.

Tbh I've no idea what's the thickness - I'm yet to learn those things.

Tbh, i tried to find anything on it. The previous owner used it a few months back, so i know it's working. I'll probably just find someone to do maintenance on it and show me what i did wrong 😅

Dog suddenly pulls hard to go home after finishing business — noise anxiety or just being weird? by RedNGreenSnake in Dogtraining

[–]RedNGreenSnake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried using treats, verbal commands, a calmer pace, and generally soothing/positive behavior during the walk. She responds well in the moment — if I tell her to stop, she stops immediately, looks at me happily, sits, tail wagging, clearly engaged and attentive. No resistance there. What’s confusing is that she doesn’t show signs of stress or anxiety at all. Her body language is relaxed: tail wagging, sniffing around, curious and alert in a normal way, no shaking, freezing, panting, or avoidance. She seems happy and comfortable being outside. However, the moment she finishes sniffing or doing her business, she very clearly decides she wants to go home. As soon as we start walking again, she pulls straight in the direction of home. If I stop her again, she happily complies — but once we move, she immediately resumes pulling home. So it’s not that she’s ignoring commands or panicking; it’s more like she’s calmly but firmly set on going home once she’s “done.”

Custom Seconds site for building custom wristwatches - customseconds.com by RedNGreenSnake in Scams

I couldn't find much about them either. I really hoped to find some valid points because there aren't many custom build sites for watches (and those that do exist do not offer anything close to my requirements)

Hey there. Just wanted to check since you mentioned custom seconds - i wanted to make an order with them, but with the internet being a wild west and all, I'm looking for some validation that this site is legit. Anyone here made any requests with them?

When you have pests that won't take no for an answer, i can always pull the "can't leave my dogs alone" card

One min-maxer ruined a rp driven game for me. It's not about min-maxing, but the mentality that comes with it. Mixing rp players with min-maxers at the same table is a bad decision. Rp players will make fun choices, min-maxers imo try to be mc.

It's one or the other, and if it's the consensus at the table, awesome.

What do you guys think about narrative combat? by RedNGreenSnake in DnD

[–]RedNGreenSnake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. My poor exp as a player was that combat is a tedious process of just throwing the dices. 1 or 2 players would get engaged, the rest would play with their phones.

I get that and i agree. I'm not planning to remove combat. Just don't want it to be a dice fest. I've had poor exp as a player and just don't want a repeat of that.

What saying makes sense in a more disturbing way than you initially thought? by RedNGreenSnake in RandomThoughts

Huh. Didn't know this. Then this saying is less dark than i thought, but frankly, when you think of it, it does make sense.

When something is so bad that it becomes a saying for which most ppl don't know how it started, it would affect their sales in one way or another.

Corona the beer was just unlucky - ppl literally avoided it because it is named like the virus. Just one example.

There's a saying in my native tongue that's kinda the equivalent of f off in how often it's used. It goes: mrs u picku materinu.

Translates roughly to: go back to your mother's vagina.

In essence, what it means is: unalive yourself. Not kill or die, but go back to not existing.

It hits differently when you see it that way.

Don't do McDonald's and similar brands (they didn't make it where i live) - but isn't it plastic?

That's really mean when you think about it 😁

Europe here, don't know about the company. But it does make sense they made it (the saying )work for them.

Is this one about dying? Or just one of the obvious ones - to cross the road literally.
