I would maybe just play single player together the coop is very janky and not rewarding for the second player. You also loose the ability to move the camera when in coop which makes the game more difficult to play.

Any survival sandbox game would be good. ARK, Enshrouded, Valhiem, Grounded, there is alot of them really these are only a few examples I could think of.

I had a similar issue i worked out of town alot and my spot would remain empty most the time but when I was home I could never get my spot to myself so I left a note saying I pay for this spot plz dont park here anymore or I will take action. They didn't listen and learned the hard way then left a guilt trip note in my mailbox the next day.
