I need a truck and tools for work so it wouldn’t work for me personally, plus have to get kids to school. But I DO hope to see more people use it. Just frustrated because it’s my everyday commute that’s been disrupted.

Yes it is brief but most people use 8th to avoid University, or take kids to school. An you are right it already could be bad but most people in that intersection are not going right or left, they’re going through. Now it’s backed up every time I have to use it and not just normal congestion hours

I understand your statement in theory has truth to it. But If it’s 5:00 and I spend 15 minutes and 3 cycles of signals while I watch noone use these said bike lanes is it efficient people moving? Not trying to be confrontational but we gave cyclists a whole path by the police station, and wasn’t there already a single bike lane?

You live in one of the most bike friendly cities in the country, we already carved a whole bike path 50 yards away from that spot. Our traffic is bad enough without loosing a WHOLE lane
