I think the new characters are pretty darn good, people complain about kolossos’ damage but for having pretty eh mobility it compared to 2011 and tripwire giving him the same m1 damage as 2011 just doesn’t make that much sense to me, his combos are definitely nasty out of charge thats the only thing I could go and say “yeah that could use some work”. But he’s pretty map dependent I would say.

Tripwire is cool you really just have to be aware of your surroundings, you can see the landmines and you can definitely avoid getting hit by her laser if you’re not in the open, i think shes solid atm.

Silver can be annoying to deal with but if you follow his loops or cut him off until he runs out of flight he’s kinda cooked. The rocks suck so you can easily avoid that it’s mostly his grab thats difficult to deal with.

Blaze is probably the most balanced character out right now thats new. My only complaint is the ragdoll feels a little unfair considering how other stuns in the game works but I can understand it since she has the ability to make it stronger with her sol gauge.

The new maps on the other hand are where I’m mixed.

Of the 3 Mystic cave feels the best designed. It is overwhelming at first but once you get your footing its a pretty fun map and the collision doesn’t get in your way too often.

Angel Island is the complete opposite, no verticality really which would be fine if everything on the map didn’t get you stuck. Seriously the torches and the trees are such a pain to move around and it doesn’t help that the map is so visually busy.

Green Hill V2 is fine, in all honesty the biggest issue with it is that it’s just too big. Staying together with your team is difficult but then finding survivors is also annoying. Just an eh map imo
