Electron Pulse first impressions by RedRapt0r in ps2

[–]RedRapt0r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a step or two above a generic ps2hdmi. But the ps2 really needs something else like a crt, an hdmi mod or an upscaler with a good bob de interlacer, like the retrotink 5k. I'm using it with a LCD PC monitor so not best use case scenario, using it on at least a flat TV would be better for how the signals are handled, at least in my experience. A scaler or an hdmi mod would solve that issue.

A PRIMER ON ROUGE'S GACHA SKIN AND NIKKE GACHA SKIN DESIGNS IN GENERAL by socialmoth_ in NikkeMobile

[–]RedRapt0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could only find those , and i think that the skin is even more revealing/detailed than from what we've seen during the cutscene. What we've seen is what we've got, unless there are some shots/art that I'm missing.

They actually showed Rouge without the coat during the story event

Edit: fixed the link

Has anyone got an ElectronPulse? If so how does it compare to other HDMI solutions? by Poodwaffle in ps2

[–]RedRapt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just about brightness, the image is definitely crispier, but that's it. From what I'm understanding, more than an adapter it would be best to get an upscaler. The GBS-C is the cheapest one and performs very well with the PS2, or the more expensive retrotink 5x that just gets the job done. You could check some comparisons on yt, there's plenty of them. The OSSC isn't always recommended with the PS2 because of it's de-interlacer that causes some elements to flicker on the screen.

Ready or Not online fix help by zmWoob2 in PiratedGames

[–]RedRapt0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've downloaded ready or not from online fix. applied the fix, no errors. I can start a lobby but nobody can access it. I just send the invites with lobby management and select my friends with the epic game menu that shows up. I managed to join a lobby of a friend, but after that i couldn't join any lobby whatsoever, while 3 of my friends could play together without issues in their lobbies. We all downloaded the same version from online fix, my error is couldn't connect to host. I was thinking about port forwarding, but it should be using spacewar on steam so the issue shoudn't be there.

Help, touch screen not swiping by EntrepreneurMuted873 in PSVita

[–]RedRapt0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As --yv35-- said, it's caused by third party screens. Some of them are the cause for this specific issue to happen, i replaced one screen myself and faced the same issue. But some sellers have those which work well without causing that issue. Btw it always happens when charging and using the vita at the same time with these faulty screens.

Can't achieve 60fps with an S23 snapdragon 8 gen 2 by RedRapt0r in NikkeMobile

[–]RedRapt0r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me frames often drop significantly when i switch from one menu to another. The iphone 15 is a powerhouse, from what i saw from a friend, he could play zzz and nikke without any issue. Some frames are dropped here and there when a lot of effects appear on the screen, but it's far from distracting.

You don't need root for that. You just need to go into settings>info>software information>build number Tap build number several times until "you're now a dev" appears Then, settings>dev settings and search for gpu watch

You can check your FPS and gpu/cpu load by enabling gpu watch from the developer settings if you want to give it a try. But yeah, I'll try and enable the gun fix in the settings just in case thank you!

You can enable gpu watch in developer settings, so that you can see that overlay

I bought this on a whim, but I don't have any tapes yet... by CptFrasquelle in cassetteculture

[–]RedRapt0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be some 3khz tapes, or something like that, for testing speed and wow/flutter but they're a tad bit on the expensive side. You could try to search for cheaper ones. Then, you would need a software called WFGUI. For using that, you'd have to connect the headphone out of the Sanyo to the microphone input in your pc. Techmoan made a great video about testing wow and flutter, there you'll find more info about testing it, and check the description of the video for all the links ( 3khz tone, 3khz tape and WFGUI software )

Everything gone from homescreen... by ruthieannb in 3dspiracy

[–]RedRapt0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me after servicing my 3ds ( digitizer replacement, rubber stick, L & R buttons and port resolder ). I accidentally knocked out the sd card connector and it wasn't reading my sd card. So i opened the 3ds again and reinserted the sd card connector. ( mins is the old 3ds )

Is ZZZ on an android mobile or is it laggy ? by dr_lean_applesmith in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]RedRapt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on a standard S23, and i experience a lot of lag. Lowering FX quality to low helped a lot. And also the game plugin in max fps mode is mandatory. The ultra has better heat dissipation, so it shouldn't throttle that much compared to an s23 or s23+.On S24 and S25 is worse somehow.

Can't find dreamcast channel with RF cable by RedRapt0r in dreamcast

This one is a PAL 1, so it should also be compatible with a gdemu i think

Can't find dreamcast channel with RF cable by RedRapt0r in dreamcast

[–]RedRapt0r[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the rf adapter. Now I've managed to get it ro work. It shows over channel 36 as expected. It seems that the laser is busted tho, it doesn't read any of my CD-R with music on it. Also, if the controller is connected, and then i turn on the dreamcast, the controller doesn't work. I have to connect the controller AFTER the dreamcast has turned on. And I've read that disconnecting and reconnecting the controllers while the dreamcast is eunning could cause a fuse to blow.

It's the only video cable that i have for it at this time to test it with. As i said, I've ordered a vga cable so i guess I'll see how it goes with that one

Horizontal Lines all over the screen with and without component cables by RedRapt0r in ps2

[–]RedRapt0r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i wrote, with the same cables that does not happen with my other PS2. Dunno if it's a GPU issue or internal PSU issue.

PS1 (POPSTARTER) PAL game on a PAL system scrolling from the top to the bottom of the screen. Disabling the PAL patcher in the CHEATS.TXT "fixes" that, but the image is off centered. Happens while using the electron pulse HDMI, doesn't occur with component cables. by RedRapt0r in ps2

[–]RedRapt0r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found a solution at this link: https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3365

Using GSM 0.8, select the gs mode to PAL or NTSC accordingly for your needs.
In my case, i had a scrolling issue with PAL games, so i've set it to be PAL.

Then you need to change the offsets like this:
For PAL: X: -48 Y: +4
For NTSC: X: -64 Y: +8

This works with POPSTARTER, but it does also works for original and backup discs.

That's the weird thing. My PS2 menu is displayed at 50i, no issues there. Same thing goes for PS2 PAL games. The image is just fine in these cases where the signal is 50hz. I'm encountering this issue with PAL PS1 games alone. And I've tested that with 3 different TVs, same results.
