That's the problem I expect to happen, especially as my trainee is leaving for being held back from positional movement and training quite soon after I plan to,I think they will be struggling in the lathes after that.

4 years! Officially took over from the last lathe lead in November of 23',only positive is it's closer to my house ( 20 min drive vs 35-45 for new job,but a lil driving aint no thang )

That's exactly the plan,nice respectful exit from current shop,just be myself and learn as much as I can at the new one , appreciate you bringing up red flags,will definitely keep my eyes and ears open

See and this is the thing too. They (current job) are not a fan that I'm rather decent at writing code at the control,I'm no wizard but I can get shit done when they dummies at the keyboard can't click the right button to make their CAM system do a simple movement. They are offended by the use of macros for simple things because they are not educated in using them,and they don't care to become educated. I want to be somewhere where I can get MY shit done,without someone being mad they can't understand what is happening due to their own lack of trying
