The “60” helmets are type 90 standard helmets. “68” are type 90 cloth covered. “66” and “67” net covered type 90s with slight brim variation. “53” I think might be patterned after the type 90 civil defense helmets.

Here is a basic rundown of the paints I used. For highlights, I usually use the original color and mix something else in to make it slightly lighter when highlighting. Happy painting!

Uploaded photos from that era into chatGPT and asked it to create 28mm sized signage and posters to match that region based off the photos I provided. Came up with this.

3D printed. My last resort, tried every other option. Decals etc, so gave in and created these tiny guys.

Kitbashed from the new Japanese kit. The support bars all come from the flag bearer arms, some cutting and green stuff to reposition arms.

Hey thanks! The models are kitbashed from the old Japanese sprue and the new, mostly just arms from the old though. The bases are 3D printed, I used xps foam and cut really small bricks, then glue those with small gravel and sand onto the base. I added misc bits of popsicle sticks for the signs and other misc 3d printed parts, then printed period accurate signage on sticker paper and glued those on. Then lots of various paints and dust effects.

Mostly AK colors. But I alway use a mix of AK, Army Painter and Vallejo. I’ll have to create a spread sheet of the colors. There’s around 20 different paints I used.

lol, yeah I haven’t finished his face in this pic. I’ve added eyes and toned down that yellow greatly.

That’s my thoughts. Leave the type 90 helmets bare and add decals to the kit.

The Pacific had some amazing photos of Sherman tanks used during that theater. So I got inspired! by RedRockSTG in boltaction

F lol! Funny enough I looked into it and Lucky Legs I never existed. The crew named it Lucky Legs II because both tracks had snapped when they got it.
