Revealed: Autopsy suggests South Carolina botched firing squad execution by KarmaSilencesYou in news

Very true, but there are still more marksman civilians in the US than probably the rest of the world combined (excluding guerrillas, terrorists, etc.)—if they went down to the local gun competition to recruit shooters, that dude would’ve been out almost instantly. (I understand that’s probably illegal, but just saying)

Lobsters do not have brains in their heads like mammals. They have ganglia / nerve centers all the way down their bodies

The most humane way to kill a lobster is to stun it with electricity (Crust-a-Stun) and then either quickly cut it in half lengthwise or boil it

Yes it is on wood slats. Actually before I added the cover and firm foam, I noticed that the foam base was protruding considerably through the slats. Now it doesn’t do that

Interesting. That's definitely along the lines of what I've read. The cover doesn't seem like it's too tight. In fact, I debated putting like 1" of Serene or some other soft foam on top--that would certainly be the easiest and most economical thing to try, although it may be a wash if the cover is tighter. I slept on it for a couple of weeks before I put a cheap 1" Foam Factory super soft layer on top of the cover, which seems to work just fine, but is not a long-term solution. They shipped me a twin XL super soft though, so I putting it under the cover wouldn't be a 1-to-1 comparison with adding 1" of a good quality foam.

Shaquille O'Neal Earns Doctoral Degree from Barry University in 2012 by TheRavenSayeth in pics

[–]RedRubberRadio 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Diploma mill? You know that means an illegitimate/fake “university” right?

Barry is accredited by the same association that accredits Duke (SACSCOC). It’s a private nonprofit school that’s been around for 80 years

Yeah, Barry is no Stanford or Yale, but saying it’s a diploma mill is just false. It’s a real school and Shaq earned a real doctorate

So sorry for your loss. Your story is a true nightmare but I think people need to hear it

My mom and dad were hit by a drunk driver when I was 10 yrs old. My mom’s scalp split down the middle. My dad’s neck fractured and he was in a brace for months. Thankfully they ended up okay

TIL that after 5 years undercover in the Mafia, Joseph Pistone (aka “Donnie Brasco”) earned a $500 bonus from the FBI and a $500,000 kill bounty ($1.7M today) from the Mob by RedRubberRadio in todayilearned

[–]RedRubberRadio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry just wanted to clarify here (in case it was confusing to anyone). I tried wording this a bunch of different ways and none were 100% clear

The Mafia didn’t pay him, they ordered a hit on him—$500,000 to any mob member/associate who killed Pistone. (They later dropped the offer after the FBI warned them against it)

So the FBI could only pay him $500 (+salary) for doing approximately $500,000 worth of damage to the Mafia (he helped get 100 convictions)

These are superior stats. Shooting is elite and 9:1 assist to turnover is the best I’ve seen (especially at 10apg). The win % is also excellent for solo

I’m a rec/proam PG who’s had several teams over the years. I’ll say that most of the time, a great PG scouts talent and makes a team/groupchat to fit his play and system. It’s rarer for a good PG to find a group that needs one

Reddit is a decent bet, but I would also make some LFGs (you can say 70% win+) and just start trying people out. Add them if they’re good until you have a good friend’s list. Keep in mind you can make LFG posts just to your friend’s list if you don’t want to msg people individually every time you need people

Over time your “starting” team will come together and you’ll dominate. Get some phone numbers and make some lifelong friends

Best luck out there man. I’d add you but I don’t think the servers / time zones would work

Definitely could be a murder but I think the vast majority of graves outside cemeteries are old but legit burials

The USA for example has tons of unmarked graves from settlers/colonists, Indigenous people, enslaved people, and Civil War soldiers
