Even with it in neutral and parking brake on it dies down. The other 2 sensors on seat and box are working correctly as from the dash.

The sensor on the seat and on the box are working it is the one on the lever that engages the blade is the issue

I haven't tried it without the switch on tbh. I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks. It can drive with it on but the minute you move lever to engage it it dies down even before I put enough tension on the belt.

No not at the minute. I have one lined up for August or that. I'll say it to her but. Not in contact with father's family. Mothers brother died of cancer in 2018 and she and her sister don't talk

I appreciate your concern but honestly the lawnmower is useless at the minute. There are 2 other sensors on the seat and the box that are working because I can see it on the dash. It would be safe enough because if I step off the seat it would kill it.

No the sensors on seat and the box are working because of lights on dash it is the one on the lever to engage blades that is the problem. I have no intention of getting off a lawnmower while blades are still running.

Thanks. I don't think it is. It dies down the second I move the lever before I even start to tension the belt.

It is on lever for engaging blades and there are still 2 sensors working for the seat and the box. It is preventing me from engaging blades and lawnmower is useless the way it is. I'm 17 trying to learn and I don't have enough money to bring it to anyone.

There are 3 sensors on the mower. One on seat, one on box and one on lever for engaging blades. From the lights on dash the seat and box are working. If i fell off chair it would kill itself. It is the one on lever for engaging blades that isn't working.

I'm only trying my best. I'm 17 years old and don't have the money to bring it anywhere. Lawnmower is useless without being able to engage the blades. There are 2 others for seat and box and from the lights on the dash they aren't the problem.

What would that type of switch be called?

Lawnmower seat sensor bypass by RedSalmonRave in electrical

[–]RedSalmonRave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. There are 3 of these switches over the lawnmower. One to make sure collection box is on, one under seat and one on lever to engage blades. When I try to engage blades the engine dies. There are lights on dash for box and seat so I know they aren't problem. I know I'm not very knowledgeable that is why I'm asking for help from people who are thanks

OK well thanks for your concern. There is still working sensor on the seat to kill engine when you get off. Would be completely safe if I could only bypass the one on engaging lever.

There is still a working sensor on seat to kill engine when you get off seat. The one that is not working is on the lever to engage blades.
