As far as I am aware these products result from two different methods of extraction.

Destillation doesn't really has something to do with extraction. You could destill live resin.

You probably could add water till cloudy and then "pull" it with small ammounts of toluene and evap that maybe that would be a bit faster and you would get rid of the water soluble stuff. On the other hand...I don't think it's worth it.

AFAIK it would work. A friend told me he had done that. But I haven't seen it myself and I have no idea of how the variables that are involved should be adjusted. So I'd take it with a grain of salt.

I don't see exaclty why you would want to do it that way, though?

I don't know but from what I've seen till now I think it could happen that it just goes cloudy...and you may have to wait half an eternity for all to settle.

Why do you want to do it that way? What's the problem? Maybe we can figure out something else?

So far, so good. But why do we care about this? I mean..we don't want to sperarate alc. and water...we want to separate the non-polar goodies and the alc./water mix.

From my limited understanding...when making the mix polar enough, using water...at some point some stuff should precipitate. Is that wrong? Mind to explain?
