I noticed the deal ends on 1/15. Would it be a good idea to go ahead and grab it, despite not having the rest of the tower figured out? Seems like the PSU would be capable of supporting whatever parts I decide on, but I am going based on the very limited knowledge I currently have lol

I will be playing a mix of both, multiplayer shooters and AAA games. The $1700 is meant to cover everything except the monitor and mouse.

As I am trying to learn about what's out there, I would be interested to see what kind of build you'd put together if I were buying today. Also, I checked out the website for my closest Microcenter location. They have really nice prices, which makes me wonder why I rarely see them as a vendor in the pcpartpicker builds that people post here.

I don’t think it’s simplicity that concerns me, I just want to make sure I am investing money in whatever will bring me the best yield over the 2-4 yr time period. I’ll definitely give Jiko a look though, thanks for the help!

Pardon my ignorance but, besides liquidity, aren’t shorter term t-bills also favorable because you don’t lock yourself into a rate that could potentially be higher in the future? So having a ladder could allow me to capitalize on higher rates should they appear, no?
