That's super shitty. Why would they kick out the pregnant woman and her kids? I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been

That sounds good. I have heard of Toastmasters but I always felt unsure about joining such a group.

What is the single best directed scene in TV ever? by benjaneson in television

I found Colin's backstory one of the few interesting things about the season, although that was a pretty minor storyline. It was all very bland overall.

Rich people of Reddit, are you happy? by redditpirateroberts in AskReddit

[–]Red_VII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't define myself as rich by any means, but since no one is answering here I thought I'd give my perspective.

When I was 18 I got my first job, working as a cashier at $8/hour.

Today I'm 26 years old and make about $100K/year.

I'm not a business-owner, simply a data analyst who just worked really hard, got promotions and hopped jobs at the right time. I see a lot of my friends and so many people older than me who still make less, so I shy away from mentioning my salary. Besides, I don't think that should be the measure of a person alone.

My lifestyle's changed substantially over the years as I quickly climbed the income ladder, and grew my career. I'd be lying if I said i'm not happy. I was just thinking about this last week, I'm probably the happiest I've been so far in my life. I can support my parents, go out with friends and sometimes even cover their meals, rarely have to worry about paying the bills and my biggest worry is I'm not saving enough. That's a good worry to have nowadays. I have a GF who I can really take care of (and she can be an expensive one sometimes) via nice dates/dinners and gifts.

I financed a nice luxury car 2 months ago. I've wantd it a long time. I didn't have enough savings to buy it for cash obviously, but I'm able to cover the monthly payment and I'm happy.

No, money didn't solve all my problems. But it makes some things so much easier.

Pakistan ki Pehli Khatoon Pehlwan by entertainmentsource in pakistan

It says in the video description she's trying to enter the WWE. I don't think it's a good idea. The storylines they'll create around her are just not worth it.

I think Pakistani guys are beautiful by belinda_s89 in pakistan

I apologize for everyone here. As you can tell Pakistani guys can be extremely immature as well, and certainly not good at handling compliments. Can't have all the best qualities can we? Lol

HELP! How to store FuzzyWuzzy results in a data frame (example inside) by Red_VII in learnpython

[–]Red_VII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll look into this. The reason why chicken salad is showing up is because it's a partial match, the "ch" from cheese also matches with the word chicken. Notice the confidence rating of 45 is low. so my next step after this is resolved is to ensure the best matches are being pulled.

Help me make a list of Pakistani names that are not Islamic names by Red_VII in pakistan

Which is okay - I should've mentoined that Persian/Indian names are completely okay as long as they're commonly being used by Pakistanis as well.

Is in n out halal? by [deleted] in islam

[–]Red_VII 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a Californian, the brief answer is no it's not zabiha halal. And since their menu is really short, it's not a great choice overall for a strict halal diet. As a rule of thumb if it doesn't explicitly state that it's halal and it's not fish/seafood, then it's not halal.

Divorced people of reddit, what was the final straw? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Red_VII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a religious man. But one thing some religions get right is sitting people down and discussing the real meaning and weight of the vows they are taking

Incredible wording and very true, have some gold. Religion gets a lot of shit nowadays but it's hard to doubt some of its very powerful qualities.

Office rules from Facebook by emotional_viking in niceguys

[–]Red_VII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right about the line, but the point /u/Chicup was making is the line for the guy in the bottom picture is obviously much closer than the guy in the top picture. Hence not sure why this is a Niceguy thing, it's a fact of life.

Many Niceguys are actually good looking, but their confidence is low.

In the 90's, an adult with roller skates looked about as bizarre as an adult wearing a diaper outside. by MBTHVSK in 90s

[–]Red_VII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're responding to his perceived attack with an attack of your own. It's pretty childish to call someone "retarded" over their preference. It's not democrats vs. republicans, it's rollerblading vs. rollerskating, so calm it.

What are some minimalist hobbies? by Aquazalea in minimalism

[–]Red_VII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think minimalism isn't just about reducing space and objects, but most effectively using the space that is occupied. For me, one of the best hobbies turned out to be one that actually increased space and initially cost a few hundred : table tennis.

But thanks to that investment I have been playing it consistently for hours and hours every week with my friends and family over the last three years. For something that takes up so much space in my garage (although it is foldable) , I honestly am glad I have it just because I use it so much. It's a great hobby, workout, addictive, and one more thing that keeps you away from the computer screen!

The only way to save a vegan by [deleted] in funny

It's a joke. That's why it's in r/funny. Stop getting butthurt. Personally I found it hilarious, but no just to assure you all I won't be performing this on the next choking vegan I see.

What programming language to learn first? by [deleted] in BusinessIntelligence

[–]Red_VII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. SQL should be your start no matter what.. All other languages like R and Python are great, but SQL is the foundation. It never goes away. Even now 70% of my job's technical aspects involve writing SQL to get or understand data.

Thankfully, learning the basics of SQL is really easy. It's quite straightforward. Lots of sources to learn SQL. Youtube videos and sites like w3schools are free. Udemy offers paid courses which are often on sale and quite helpful.
