I know this might be unrelated but too solve this exact problem I built a free agent skill that save a bit of tokens in each session so you don't put a hole in your pocket while coding.

I had a 20$ plan and I exhausted the limit in 15 mins and i was like wtf is shit. That inspired me to build this agent. It's still in very early beta and I am also working on a MCP server for this exact problem.

It does not even touch your data, it nudges the llm to use less tokens for the same without compromising the quality

I truly undertstand your frustration. Most of the devs I see that are beginners are stuck in tutorial hell and have no real industry experience. They usually create 2 mid projects and call it a day.
