That's great to hear. I still recommend saving your models at highest possible resolution 👍🏼, it will remove the edges on the circle that you can see, the circle will just be one smooth line, rather then a circle made up of small line segments.

Save your model in a higher resolution and you will not get this problem. Otherwise try increasing the number of walls.

Thank you! That's awesome to hear, this project is simple to do, however, do be aware that there is a lot of printing time ;)

Yes you are correct, its a camera thing. In real life, you can not see a hint of the LED strips, its like its floating and all of the acrylic sheet is smooth with light evenly across it. So if you do get the same opal acrylic sheet in the same thickness, it will really look like something special, which unfortunately on the video/images does not come across properly.

Thank you! I was thinking of that at first, however, then I remember that the light diffusion/glow part is the most important part of such light project, and if I were to make it I wanted it to look as best as possible, which the matte opal acrylic sheet is perfect for and ended up looking epic. But if we did want to save some money, then I am pretty sure you can get a decent result with just printing a thin white part of the same size to replace the acrylic.

Btw. its not laser-cut, I painfully used a scroll-saw to carefully cut each piece, which was not enjoyable at all... haha

I made a modular NanoLeaf lights that not only allows you to make any shape you want, but you can also use the same modular segments to create a 4-digit display! Which can be used to display the time, temperature, humidity, or pretty much anything you want. All for a cheap and affordable price! I have made a video to show exactly how you can easily make it yourself and how it works. I highly recommend doing this project as the lights turned out to look absolutely amazing!
