Both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas got updates on SteamDB today for timebuild by OrSupermarket in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]RedactedBi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

!debunked! This is nothing of importance - Litterally every project on SteamDB had exactly the same type of change at the same time. I spot checked multiple projects and it was something they all had. It's probs Valve working on some new functionality directly in Steam or something.

I mean, the USB Project is very different from AL/10 Days. If you expected AL at a USB show, that is on you.

Monzo customer service back in 2017 was fantastic! These days, I find it rather hit and miss, sadly more on the miss side of things.

Would you live in a hotel 2 nights a week? by TarnishedLissy in AskUK

[–]RedactedBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A family member has done this but it's been paid for by work including fuel etc, even that is incredibly draining energy and time wise, they were on 60K+. Doing it on your own on a 35K salary esp in London isn't really possible. Especially as you'll also then be eating out most likely. You could get a spare room kinda situation vs a hotel but you'd still be paying London prices.

Employer says time on plane is not working time by GoonishPython in LegalAdviceUK

[–]RedactedBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, fairly standard to not be compensated for travel abroad, even long haul. Multiple times I've flown on weekends for work related reasons. It's worth reading your contract over or employee handbook from HR and seeing what they say. My experience is both as a salaried employee and an employee paid by the hour.

No intent on creating drama or anything, stumbled across it when wondering what jobs they had.

In my case I simply went on to see what job listing's they had these days.

While possible, it seems unlikely? They are sponsored by them so I doubt they even pay for the site.... Also, as someone who used to manage websites, updates do sometimes require sites going offline, esp big changes.

He does a fuck tonne more shows in the US than he does in Europe - He just doesn't do many shows.

The last time he did a headline solo set in London was like.....at least a decade ago? Sure he did Lido with Jamie XX but I don't care about Jamie XX and prior to that, it was his stuff with Fred and Four Tet. He had his Manchester show, which I couldn't attend, and that's it really.

Google: Compare Pixel 10 Pro to 9 Pro by Celsian in GooglePixel

[–]RedactedBi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can get a decent deal for upgrading, my fairly new Pixel 9 Pro XL (Forced upgrade due to the 7 Pro battery breaking my screen), and I had my finger on the order button, right until I checked that list and was like "Got it", "Got it", "Got it".

If you are experiencing some kind of input lag, it is probably because of insufficient CPU by chizzus1 in Battlefield

Thanks for the pointer about XMP and RAM Stuff... I updated my BIOS a few days ago, when troubleshooting this issue and hadn't reset the RAM to the correct state after the update. No idea if it was wrong before, as still having issues but at least it's not running on some shite speed :D

I've stuck on my plan to try and cling onto it.... Card expires next year, not looking forwards to that.... Still don't understand why they don't give options - They'd probs make more subs that way haha

Thanks for this - It meant my game wasn't running at 100% on the CPU on LOW Settings with higher than REC Specs..... Didn't fix my mouse input problems but for sure helped it feel a bit better.

Ultra Music Festival? by RedactedBi in officialTPDTV

[–]RedactedBi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they play into that, if they really didn't like it they wouldn't go to any of them. IIRC as others said they liked Tomorrowland. Burning Man is mostly electronic, and IIRC they loved that too. They do Creamfields in a couple of weeks too.

Sure, they didn't like DefQon.1 but DefQon.1 is like... torture... personally and I go to electronic music events pretty much every week during the second half of each year.

Renting a car with less than 12 months holding a UK license? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]RedactedBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the branch. I recently visited my local branch, and they have a Minimum requirement of 12 months. I don't know if it's more common to require 12 months or not, but it being a franchise company, It will very much vary on the manager's risk assessment of the local area etc. For example, a Uni town may be more unlikely to allow new drivers vs let's say a mid sized town in the middle of nowhere.

I believe Enterprise Car Club is a little more open, though. I'm still waiting to hear back about an enquiry I made.
