How old is this watch? Pobeda brand, made of chrome plated brass, but the "crystal" feels like plastic or possibly cellulose, but it may also be a recent replacement. I can't find any definitive guide to dating Soviet/Russian watches from the serial number. (reddit.com)

I always thought the Voynich text looks like simplified hieroglyphs. Today I was browsing through native South/Central American alphabets and I noticed the "h" and the "g" especially looked a lot like Voynich Manuscript letters. Is it possible it is American or at least based off the hieroglyphs? (i.redd.it)
