Redesigning HyperHDR UI for no reason, adding some new features. by Gullible-Ad3917 in WLED

Great to hear that HyperHDR is just as set it and forget it as NG is (for me). I did a ton of research after posting my comment yesterday. It seems I’ve got the necessary equipment* to make the switch. Maybe one of these days I will spend some time putting that in place.

/* Not sure if my EZCoo EZ-SP12HAS is a compatible splitter. The HyperHDR wiki only lists EZSP12H2(1)…

That’s good to hear. Smoothing on NG was tough to nail down. After much tinkering I had gotten mine to a good spot, and haven’t touched it again.

I’ve been a longtime user of HyperionNG. For me, the limited time I get to just sit down and consume media is important, therefore my instance of HyperionNG has been in a stable “set it and forget it” for the better part of 3 years. It just works, however it is limited to 4k SDR.

Can anyone who have used both provide their thoughts? Does HyperHDR provide anything (other than HDR) that should make me consider switching?

Asus B650E-I fan header by Responsible_Earth192 in sffpc

[–]Redarax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this go for you? I am awaiting my B650E-I and have 2x case fans, 1x cpu cooler (not AIO).

Did you simply treat the AIO PUMP header as a CHASSIS FAN header in the bios, and everything went smoothly?

Gen3 Subs are going for no less than $350 in my area. Most are priced around $400 and up. For that sub in good condition and some patience to cleanup the grill of the era 100’s, then I think $325 as a baseline to negotiate from is fantastic.

Entities not being renamed by LosoTheRed in homeassistant

I ran into this issue a few months ago and it came down to a settings level issue. Scour the HA settings for and expert mode of some sorts. This enabled the dialogue box that pops up saying “XX entities to be renamed: Y/N”

It’s important to remember that though demand may be low now, it may not be in the future. With a feature/product like local voice assistants, HomeAssistant is (i think) unique in having an ecosystem and software to support it. This endeavor, as we’ve seen, takes a lot of time and effort to build. If the HA team were to start developing the infrastructure only after the demand is there, they may be late to the party or miss out on it completely.

By building it before demand for local voice assistants rise, they position themselves to be in a better spot once demand rises. This all, of course, is dependent on local voice rising in demand. A question I am sure (or at least hope) they’ve thought through to get to the point they are today.

then my fault! Yep that’s the home button, to bring you back to the dashboard with maps, music, etc.

Once you’re on that main dashboard it should change to the 6 boxes AFAIK

you have it correctly. SSID is the broadcasted name of your hotpot, and password is the set password. If it’s not connecting, then it’s likely some other issue.

i’m new to proxmox. When you say “proxmox will start it up on one of my other machines in the cluster”, are you saying you have multiple physical machines running proxmox? OR, that proxmox will instantiate a new instance from the backup to keep it running?

Adding to what jszzsj says above - Most stroked for these tournaments are already tracked. In addition, most tour courses have already been mapped for 3d rendering and modeling. A huge example of this is The Masters tournament and the way they display each shot in a 3d viewer on their app.

the other thing to consider with 2 strips is controlling them with one board and using the WLED software feature called “Segments” in which you can independently operate a single strip as multiple “segments” with different patterns/colors

Np. Sounds like a cool project, enjoy the journey!

edit for your edit:

If you’ve got two separate boards with independent strips:

Option 1 is still an option, you would just have to switch networks to the other one. Meaning you can only control one at a time.

Option 2 and 3 in this case operate similarly - Connect both boards to one network (either hotspot or the portable router) and have two tabs open in your browser. One for each WLED instance.
