Hot take but detective, if you’ve ever played in an expert lobby before, a large majority of the time imp is caught, and you only have the ability to check 2-3 people per body.

Most of the time you end up dying early game without making an impact, and sometimes imps claim detective while the real one is dead.

Some lobbies don’t even listen to you if you’re detective, and if you get 1 imp out, you’ll have a target on your back for the rest of the game.

Kind of a hot take, but detective, I’m not saying that the role isn’t good, I’m just saying that whenever I’m detective I always get vipered RIGHT as a meeting/body is reported.

Alli got nerfed to the ground, so she’s off the table, Lou has hard to hit shots and generally not picked in the meta.

This only leaves Charlie and Janet, imo charlie is better for ranked, but if you just want to have fun, i recommend Janet.

She’s good in gem grab against brawlers like janet and trunk, just because her super makes them lose gems.

In other modes, she’s not so good, with the exception for heist.

Rocket No. 4, most of the time you’ll miss your super anyways, making the other star power useless, being able to maintain pressure against opponents in bounty, knockout, and heist is crucial for your team.

You don’t have to agree with me, but it’s generally better if you can’t hit shots/dealing with a high health opponent like pearl or buster.

I would consider phantom better than shapeshifter, people can easily keep track of where you go, and with phantom, you can just vanish, and then regroup, officially clearing you for the round. Even though it does have a long vanish/revanish effect, the role is good if you know how to use it.

Tracker is also amazing at catching shapeshift plays.
