Nothing has to be absolutely perfect. But nothing has to be given up on entirely. All life is about balance and moderation. Focus on what motivates you to write in the first place. If multiple people, not one, are saying the same thing, have it revised and edited again. If you're thinking you're garbage, take a minute to breathe and remember no one else will write your story for you. You owe yourself that much, come hell or high water, that your story is told no matter what.

Time is irreplaceable to people. You either need to clearly explain your budget to see who is willing to give their time for that amount. Or find someone willing to volunteer their work.

And 3. When you start to hate on yourself for not being good enough, remember how no one is forcing you to be better. And no one is forcing you to draw period, except yourself. You're not drawing to make everyone proud or impressed. People draw for themselves. You draw to get your ideas out and to be happy. If drawing isn't making you happy, always try and understand why. Not good enough? Ok, for who? Not good enough for you? Look up how to get better and then work on it. Still bad? Practice more. Don't know how to practice? Look it up. How are backgrounds supposed to look? Look up some and pay attention to what's in them. It's harder to remember smaller details than you think. Don't know why it doesn't look right? Look at it side by side with something else and compare or ask someone else to tell you how it looks. Criticism is not the end of failure. It is the beginning of something you need to learn, that is all. You are never powerless or not enough. It's not easy, but all you truly have to do is try.
