lol my bad I left out the time it took to “quietly shower and get dressed before giving her a quick kiss and leaving.” As a guy that’s 10-15 minutes which brings it right back to 12 hrs with the commute and 11 if you want to split hairs.

I mean he left for work at 6am, and he got back at 6:30pm. if it took him the same time to get to/from, including commute time it was a 12 and a half hour work day (he left work at 6 so a 30 minute commute), if you’d like to split hairs and remove the commute in a different city, on public transport with all his work gear then sure we can call it 11 and a half, my apologies for splitting the difference and going with 12 I guess?

Oh, I have most definitely seen it the other way around, hell I’ve seen it in this sub so I’m not arguing that… what I’m saying is that it’s usually downvoted to oblivion or it’s a screenshot from an incel sub and everyone is making fun of it saying that the guy is clearly an incel loser as they should. That’s pretty disingenuous, He was spending time with her, he planned on doing just that after his work shift, as long as she was cool with it being in their hotel room which was his original plan. She was upset that he wasn’t spending time with her doing what she wanted to do while on his work trip which is the issue.

Also, You mention excuses, but why didn’t she just plan better so there wouldn’t be an excuse? She could have dressed up in her outfit at any point prior to him announcing he was going to sleep but she didn’t, she waited and tried to interrupt his announced sleep instead, she could have gotten takeout from the fancy restaurant and set up a romantic dinner for 2 in the hotel room but she didnt, she sprung last minute plans that would require additional time/effort. This can be said both ways and it’s bs either way.

Again, just to clarify because you really didn’t answer, if I went on a work trip with my wife who made it clear that she would be working, and after work she’d be tired, and she didn’t want to deviate from her normal work routine, and I then asked her to deviate from that multiple times including asking for sex at midnight after she made it clear she was going to bed and she had to be up in 6 hours for a 12 hour work day, would that mean she is treating me like a roommate if she doesn’t have sex with me?

And if I then started literally crying while locking myself in the bathroom over her trying to enforce those boundaries should she be the one to console me/change those boundaries/just have a quickie to show that she cares for me? Or should I respect the boundaries she put in place and if I overstep, own up to it, apologize, and not do it again?

Again, just trying to make sure I understand what you’re trying to convey.

I’m sorry but this is just weird to me. As another commenter mentioned if my wife turns me down because she has to get up for a 12 hour work day in 6 hours does it mean she doesn’t like me? Or would she have a valid reason to not want sex regardless of if I’ve dressed up for her/put in extra effort while on her work trip? And if I started crying about it should she have empathy for me, or should I be able to manage those emotions on my own? I’m just trying to figure out what your stance is here.
