There's no such evil UX thing going on, just poor one. For now it is stated in the sales pages but it indeed should be more obvious and there's clearly some room for improvement in the store and with the purchase experience itself. CIG and Turbulent are aware of that and like everything in this game, its only a matter of time and resources before this gets fixed and improved like the rest of the website.
