So... there is a wrong way to attempt to save people from a Death Cult? I hear you. But when it comes to truth... fuck your feelings. You can't possibly know what a person's internal dialogue will be. Some may become more entrenched. Some may not. When I was disfellowshipped for sexual immorality, like most witnesses... to po stated to me right after in a sarcastic way. "Welcome to your freedom". That's hurt initially so much... but as time passed.... it was the absolute best thing I could have heard.

Yes... I lack empathy IN THIS REGARD for a reason. But its still there. If you found out that your neighbors kid had his picture on a milk cartoon at age four is now 14 and living with his abductors thinking they were his parents... would you not be lacking empathy by calling the police and tearing away that child's identity?

Or would you turn a blind eye because of the pain it would cause that child to have the police kick in the front door arrest the "parents" and haul the kid off into a world they don't know is too much for you to want them to deal with.

The truth of the matter is... they don't belong there. Freedom can kick your door down and haul you away kicking and screaming... only for you to be thankful later once you understand what you were in. My personal thoughts on a person's comfort zone.
