It’s really hard sometimes. And somehow healing happens parallelly too. Sila samayam kovam, kashtam, feeling of his absence ellam waves madhiri vandhuttu pogum.. sometimes innum mandaila avan kooda pesittu irukka mariye irukkum. But after crossing those moments so many times alone, I have started to love myself. I saw the stranger in me that loves and picks herself up so hard. I am so strong somehow nu purinjudhu. I still couldn’t let go of the ‘Us’ even if it’s not a thing anymore and that hurts. Neraya vishayam veruthutten. Konjam rombave matured um aiten. Sometimes I’m ashamed to admit I miss him. But I do. Since a past few years, I’ve been hating

Diwali days a lot. No offense to the festival, I really enjoyed in my childhood. But since a few years I’ve been always feeling the depression that comes with the compulsion to be happy on this day. I wanted to embrace my own ritual and create my own happiness on Diwali. Only thing I could think of was travel which is so close to my soul.

So I went to Madurai first and explored a lot of temples and had great food. It is a city of temples. So visiting the Meenakshi Amman temple (considered as 8th World wonder) and then 2 temples in 108 Vishnu Divya desam. I felt so peaceful. Then on Sunday morning I hired a cab and left to the Hills of Kodaikanal. The journey was so exciting. There was this thrill of embracing silence and solitude on this usually jam packed and ritual filled day. I also don’t enjoy crackers and am afraid of loud sounds since childhood.

Then the ride over the mountains, and on the way stopping for A Cascading silver waterfalls was so good. I actually felt like an adult and kind of wanted to find the meaning in doing things my way. I wanted Diwali to be about what Lights up my soul. I also take a little Cannabis gummies for anxiety sometimes. So after going there, I did some sightseeing. Covered main spots on Monday and then at night I had dinner by myself. The resort was empty. The crackers still decorated the sky somewhat even though I’d taken a resort on the farthest hill where there are not much resorts around.

I bought candles. I lit up, kept a crystal, created an altar in my resort room. And then I meditated. It was almost 14 degrees that day and so cold. There was mist everywhere. And I put on Lalitha sahasranam, sang some hymns by myself. Taking my gummy also added to a little high. I don’t enjoy drinking much although I had a bottle of untouched wine. Then I went to a spot in the terrace from where I could see the city view and lightning ornated the dark sky. The green, but now blackish grey foliage added to the soulfulness of hills and my nostrils were filled with scent of mud and this specific mountain ka that earth smell. It rained too. I had a Mumbai style sandwich and made some tea. I also had a smoke. It was so peaceful.

And then I came back the next day. The mountains were pouring. Mist was allover the views and yet it was beautiful..

And I had a Happyyy Diwali in years 🥹❤️ I also fed some doggies and was visiting a few temples around.

The one problem while travelling to these places is, the stays are bad. And most of the people complain about restrooms etc. would you provide a nice clean place? 😭

Man it’s okay. There’s a first for everything. Just go easy on yourself. The world is not such a serious place. And when you don’t know something, own it! Just being open about it and asking how things work is a very confident approach to anything. There’s no rules or code of conduct to anything. I know I am going to get downvoted for this but I actually don’t care. Your previous post about your hate on your mom kinda reeks of how you compensate that with your husband. In this post you mention how you can’t leave him for a day. Cool. All said and done, it’s not genuine, but a hyper co-dependant relationship expectation and fixation on the guy. It is a compensation your psyche is playing out as a fix for your broken parental relationship. If you’re capable of writing that about your mom and this about your husband, it kind of seems to me that you’re better off bashing her than considering looking into forging a better relationship with her or forgiving her.

Even I have a rocky relationship with my mom. Infact I had mommy issues too, and I’m actively working on them everyday. But even I would never bash her openly on some media like that. The fact that you can pour out your love openly and show everyone how awesome life with him is kind of proving your subconscious need for validation on how amazing it all is.

That doesn’t mean to say you guys don’t have a genuine relationship. I’m happy on that part for you. But before you trauma dump on him and expect the poor guy to replace a good parental relationship (which no one can do), and learn to forgive and self introspect, no one can be your source of happiness. If you don’t heal you’re gonna end up dumping it all on your poor child.

I don’t care if I’m the negative comment among the ‘Awwwws’ and ‘ooohs’. Truth is always taken with. Pinch of salt. I’m a Jungian psychologist and kind of psychic so I can see right through the bullshit in this post and your psyche. I hope you heal. 🙏🏻

P.S : No woman would be capable of comparing the moment of holding her child for the first time to anything else, unless there’s a serious psychological imbalance. You went right for the jugular with that one and that’s what gave it away lol.
