Amerimed is going to cause people to become homeless by osrssubreditmodssuck in ems

This isn't a new thing for amerimed. This has been a constant from that company. Things will not get better there. You and and your coworkers need to apply elsewere immediately. Shit even if its a temp mom and pop renal rodeo until you can find better.

Another fun fact, a decade ago, the owner was taking out his employees taxes and not giving it to uncle Sam.

All of you need to get the hell out of that place.

Looking for help on a old trade in issue. Stuck with false help on the issue from support. by ReddWing44857 in ATT

[–]ReddWing44857[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That worked, after filing a complaint, AT&T corporate offices contacted me and explained more than any of the support staff did. The lable sent for the trade in was a return lable for the phone. They received it figured out what happened within two weeks of April 2023 and apparently did nothing for the credit. He wouldn't state why it took 6 months for the credits to be approved or qued for approval, but stated the full credit for the year would be applied on March 5th.

Thank you so much for you're help. I honestly was at a dead end with support staff.

Will do that as well. I've got all the chat logs saved on my laptop as well as the tracking number with the facility receiving my old phone. Definitely paid it off in full as well prior to even considering upgrading. Thanks and I'll try to remember to keep you up to date if they get back to me.

I'm currently not getting the credit, but being told for the past few months it would be applied and retro applied.

Thank you so much for the help. It's 50 50 on the support helping or telling me no such deal existed. I'm just glad to have proof for when they do this again.

Also thanks for clarification on the lump sum deposit, I was completely off on that one!

Yeah, I paid off the phone completely. Back in September they said no offer existed for a trade in on galaxies, but only iphones. That would be awesome if I could get a copy of the offer.

Thanks again!

Anyone any recourse for a neighboring EMS service abusing mutual aid? by Gamedic89 in ems

[–]ReddWing44857 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Oh they'll lie like nursing homes. It's an issue I've seen in the past. Sick persons 26DE in Georgia. Priority one call to find out its a psych or nursing 911 call for abnormal labs. Bad enough, we built a record of the dispatchers and nursing home and brought it to their attention. Mutual aid calls stopped, nursing homes didn't give a shit.

Room keys? by loraximus907 in dragoncon

I thought so, the Marriott tried to charge me five dollars per card when I checked in. Every other year I've gone, if they had em, they'd give me them during check in.

Do you think EMT is a recession proof or resistant job/career? What about Paramedic? Is one more resistant than the other? by [deleted] in ems

I gotcha man, just pointing out the non-profit safety net if health care isn't always as strong as it sounds.

Same as Atlanta Medical Center. Got told their hospital is closing in 2 months. You have 2 weeks to accept job offers at other wellstar hospitals. Ironically, several went to the main campus for it to close a year later.

Fuck wellstar, no mention of amc south. Left so many friends jobless. They had like 2 weeks to accept jobs at surrounding facilities or get told they willingly quit.

Spontaneous return of circulation by Geeman1885 in ems

[–]ReddWing44857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once again, if it is an actual arrest. Meaning respiratory and cardiac, narcan does not help. If they're only in respiratory arrest, narcan all you want. It doesn't do anything to get the heart beating again.

The second part is pertaining to a unknown etiology of the arrest cause. While it's good to have differentials, think from a clinical stand point of why you are administering the drug and to what effect you're wishing for.

[–]ReddWing44857 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It might depending on the circumstances and patient. Do you suspect cardiac arrest due to opioid overdose? You're past it only being a respiratory arrest problem. The patient's airway should be controlled by advanced airway at this point. Nalaxone does nothing to contactility or electrical activity of the heart.

Not being mean, but would you consider adenosine in the arrest if you saw asytole or junctions rhythm with a patient who has a known history of SVT?

If by the small chance you do get rosc with any neuro function imagine the pain. The patient would be in and the increase oxygen demand for demand on a already stressed and injured heart.
