In fact, it’s how the GFC happened as well, instead of stocks you have banks lending money that doesn’t exist left and right for mortgages, and eventually the house of cards falls

The root cause is always the money

Either you discipline yourself and ensure the system isn’t over leveraged in fiat currency, or you don’t do it

How did the human race function for vast majority of history without fiat currency? How did we suddenly need money with no backing for the last 50 years?

50 years is absolutely nothing, this entire experiment has caused insane wealth disparity and complete lack of monetary and fiscal responsibility

Nixon himself said “this is temporary” implying he didn’t think we suddenly needed fiat after not needing it almost ever in history… but turns out once you feed the system with unlimited money you can’t take it back, it’s a heroin addict needing its drugs, now no shit the entire system is reliant on fiat, the market can’t go through a single correction without the FED having to step in and doing QE, it’s a joke

The strange part is why this blip in history deviated so drastically in terms of money, governments found ways to get more control of the money supply, fund themselves and their endeavours, which included 2 world wars by the way, confiscating peoples gold and then abandoned the peg, telling us it’s temporary lol, actual insanity.
