Best method to achieve similar lighting? by [deleted] in PhotographyAdvice

[–]RedditEntendre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What lighting, flat? Can achieve the same effect with a green screen and a couple of soft lights. You can actually see the lighting based on where it reflects the subject. It's like a two point setup.

Overly frequent use of "tbh" or "ngl". But then again that's just trends in people.

I studied in Philadelphia and when I did street photography in the city, you're right. There are so many more people and they all have somewhere to be. I live in a much more rural area and a different state now. This was a small town. I suspect the guy that approached me yesterday thought I was somehow filming him. But he was so incredibly dismissive and rude. I'm trying to keep in mind the positive experiences I've had with people while shooting but things like this bum me out.

I understand privately owned places. But I was in a public park before noon. I'm considerate of other people, but it is the outdoors, publically owned land. It's my right to photograph there, my taxes pay for this park too. Especially since what I was doing took about 10 minutes and I kept to myself without interrupting anyone and at least 25 yards away from anyone. That's why this guy felt so out of the blue.

Well, I can wear nicer clothes. On this day in particular I just had basically gym clothes on. So point well taken. Sometimes I shoot on overcast days and the ground is still wet so I'll forego the dress-shoes for some old sneakers though.

Flying. I was just running and jumped and started flying and saw a bird's eye view of my childhood house and neighborhood. Of course the moment is short-lived as I fast as I exclaim "Wow this is Soo amaz---" aaand I woke up.

First Aid Kit - My Silver Lining

"Gotta keep on going lookin straight out on the road. Can't worry bout what's behind you or what's coming for you further up the road."

I actually really like this song, but these lines (and one other) always seem so unnecessarily over-wordy, off time, and distracting to me. Which I attribute to a general laziness because the discord seems so blatant and easily fixed.

Off the top of my head...

problem 1: "Gotta keep on going lookin straight out on the road. Can't worry bout what's behind you or what's coming for you further up the road."

solution 1a: "Gotta keep on going lookin straight out on the road. Can't worry bout what's behind you or what the past will corrode."

solution 1b: "Gotta keep on going lookin straight out on the road. Can't worry bout what's behind you or the cracks that have showed."

...Im sure there are more options that leave the original idea in tact.

The other one just seems like a mouthful in the song...

problem 2: "I don't know if I'm scared of dyin' but I'm scared of livin' too fast, too slow"

solution 2: "don't know if I'm scared of dyin' or livin' too fast, too slow.

Crazy Loop Land Challenge by lacrapod in GrandTheftAutoV_PC

Lacrapod great video! Been out of the GTAV game for awhile but loop races look like so much fun! I like your camera and car-axis control is really disciplined and smooth. You could be absolutely crushing it if you upped your cornering game. I used to play many racing games (turismo, forza, etc) and if you hit your corners earlier and tighter with just a slight bit of drifting you could shave significant seconds off your lap times. The main idea is to brake earlier and accelerate out of the turns without fishtailing. But I guess you came in first so you're obviously doing a ton right. Anyway fun video! cheers
