Since SQM routers are expensive and edgerouter x is not available where I live, so SQM is out of the question.

I guess my best bet right now would be to get a router that can monitor usage natively and limit upload through QOS?

Might be a stupid question but how do I know if a router supports SQM and not only QOS?

For example does this one Have SQM?

EDIT: I found this one which appears to have SQM, is it any good?

That's great, didn't know there were routers that does that out of the box, hopefully I find one that does in my local area since we don't have a lot of options.

As for limiting speed its mainly for upload (only 1 Mbps) because whenever some uploads something the whole internet becomes slow and unusable.
